  • A retro (kind of) idea

Out of nowhere it dawned on me. How to get really young kids interested in MOTU.

It plays off an old 1980's toy. Don't know if it made it outside the U.S.

There were two versions. Glow Worm and Glow Bug.

Basically Jr would hug it/squeeze it and it would glow. It was a bedtime toy.

Switch out any kind of animal or critter they had and replace with Scareglow.

IMHO young kids nowadays need a lot more than that for them to get interested in toys, like their parents' real app-free attention, proper exposure to some adventure based stories/shows without brainwashing them with the destructive "woke" crappy ideologies, cellphone/tablet free time, and most of all; some real kids to play with when possible.

Real imagination is a key for healthy playing habits and creativity, and most screen-based (video games/apps/and whatnot) playing time works against that development when abused for long hours.

For me, physical toys were just a part of my entertainment and joy, since I used to enjoy also drawing, painting, playing chess and board games, reading comics/fantay based books, children based magazine, sports magazines, watching cartoons/anime/good shows and movies, collecting cards, playing all kind of sports team sports, biking, wrestling, swimming and so on...

All those type of activities were helping me to develop enough imagination to create stories of my own to play with physical toys.

As for MOTU, the main appeal of this property is Sword & Sorcery, Sci-Fi tech and Monsters, so a constant exposure to this type of fantastical medium could help building up a proper appeal to it...

      That's what I'm thinking. Exposure.

Then a bit older a He-Man pillow buddy. Or something like that "my buddy". I don't know. Something. I'm relatively a$$ pulling ideas but you get my point.

My buddy pillow?!… Whatever it takes, I guess! LOL

MOTU for today’s kids needs some work!… If Star Wars under Disney isn’t really gathering momentum as projected, just imagine how much work MOTU needs!

Probably a WWE/MOTU mixed show with some real buff wrestlers with decent costumes/makeup could start a spark?! 🤔

When we were kids growing up almost everything entertainment wise was over the top with great taste, yet with limited exposure to a certain degree, thus making things more desirable to attain.

And today’s formula is very different with the internet and the endless amount of crappy channels and content! Kids would rather follow some online influencers with really crappy content over anything else, and the entertainment corporations add to it with more crap!

MOTU (and toys in general) good luck targeting kids…
