  • COMIC CON 2015.

I got tickets. For all 4 days and Preview night for me and my girl.

Here are the "logistics" to even have a chance for a ticket:

Frequently asked questions about badge purchase and registration for Comic-Con.

This is the 3rd year in row I have actively tried to get tickets. At 9am I was in the queue, logged in at 8am. At 910am I was out of the line and on a new screen to buy tickets.

This was me last year: http://www.hemanworld.com/forum/foru...impossible-now

Now I just have to find a hotel for less than $230 a night. AirBNB is wise to the Con know is has jacked their prices up to stupid levels.

On March 24 I have to enter submit 6 hotels that I may or may not get from the Preferred Hotel List aka Hotelapocalypse.

    Any one else going here?

Nice, I would love to go one day to experience it. We had Wonder Con here in San Francisco years ago and I had the chance to go, but I've heard SDCC dwarfs WC shamefully!

I have been to 3 SDCC's with tickets, one without. It is huge, overwhelming and expensive. I would go to Wondercon - but the dates for it do not work for me at all. Especially since it was recently in Anaheim.

Hey, I might need you to take some MOTU pictures for the site that weekend

Can do! I would consider it my privelege to provide He-Man World with current and original content.

Congrats to you! I kinda always had this on a bucket list but after hearing it's metamorphosis over the years, I have slowly placed that lower on the list. Maybe one day as a publisher but I do not think as an attendee...

Thanks! I have seen it evolve over the past 5-10 years to what it is now, for better and worse. I love San Diego. I have quite a few acquaintances from growing up that moved there and love it too, even with the high cost of living.

I can easily recommend that you don't have to attend the actual Con to enjoy the Convention. You can get a 70 dollar hotel or AirBnB 20-30 minutes away from the convention center, drive in to town and hang out by the convention center, post up at a nearby bar and people watch till your eyes bleed. There are no shortage of parties and events at night that don't require a ticket.

If Wondercon wasn't in April, that is a an excellent value and hidden gem, especially while it is in Anaheim (before it possibly ends up back in San Francisco) and the CosPlay might even be better than Comic Con now. Tickets are still available.
Thank you to everyone who helped make WonderCon 2023 a success! We are incredibly grateful for all our attendees, exhibitors, panelists, volunteers, and participants. We couldn’t create the wonder that is WonderCon without you. WonderCon features 900+ exhibitors in a 412,000 square foot Exhibit Hall filled with comics, original art, toys, and merchandise from many popular artists, publishers, and retailers. Attendees can expect exclusive movie and television programming, panels featuring the top comics professionals in the country, anime, autographs, games, a Masquerade, and portfolio review.

Best of luck getting there as a publisher, I hope you do it.

I haven't even tried to buy SDCC passes in the last couple of years. But I live in SD so I'll be around for Comic-Con, I always find a way to get in and get the couple of things I want. Honestly it's not even worth the money these days and I'm kind of over it. I much prefer the smaller cons where everybody's into the same shit, like Power-Con and Bot-Con. Grepator is right though, you don't even need passes for the con if you are in SD, just hang out downtown and the con kind of takes over almost all of the Gaslamp part of downtown.

You can even pick up tickets on the street if you want. People will be coming and going to the convention all day, and a lot of people never return. I got a pro pass this way a couple times. It's amazing how differnt you are treated by certain type with that thing on. I havn't been since 2009. Just never go on a budget. it's stressful enough when you have enough money in the bank, but when you try and make it a job by selling stuff to afford to go at all...Well you can loose friends that way. .

Yeah one year I didn't have passes and it was the day of the Matty panel and the reveals and I had missed it. I bought some guys pass for 5 or 10 bucks when there was less than an hour left before the floor closed. I had just enough time to run in and see the new reveals and buy the exclusive figure from the Matty booth. Another year a buddy of mine that works for a local art supply store that always has booth, found someone's vendor badge on the floor on Sat evening and he gave it to me on Sun. I was able to stay on the con floor after they had kicked everybody else out and fanagle a few last minute deals from vendors as they were packing up their stuff.

I would be surprised if anyone else is. This year was brutal, worse than the past three years. The lottery to get tickets was the easiest thing that happened to me this year, everyone else I know got Thursday or Sunday tickets and decided not to go.

This is the first time I got preview night tickets out of the last 2 times I have gone too.

The hotel lottery was an absolute disaster this year, twice. By complete luck, on the second lottery, my gf was able to get an operator on the phone by constant redial and we got 5 days in a row at the same hotel - and prepaid two full nights. At one point I was seriously looking at RV rentals here in Arizona.

AIRBNB has had renters cancelling and re-renting places at twice the price.

There was even a lottery for parking spaces this year, and people took advantage and are scalping like crazy.

If I win next year, I am getting a hotel an hour away, going one day and selling my pass to pay for my trip.

If anyone is going this year, shoot me a message.
