  • What Franchise(s) should I crossover with MOTU in WWE 2K14? Pick 1 or 3

I'm going to throw the same thing out on this site as I did to he-man.org. I really appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

As some of you may know and can see in my signature, I enjoy making created wrestlers/fighters in various video games. I'm still working on my Marvel roster on "WWE 2K14" and have my DC characters plotted out, but I'm at a point where I feel I can put together a decent road map for another 100 character roster. This brings me to MOTU. Is a 100 character roster possible? Absolutely. Do I want to have half of it occupied by characters with only one costume? Not exactly. I'd appreciate your feedback on what property you'd like to see cross paths with MOTU. I'm looking at doing two in a 50/50 character split, or doing four total with 25 characters for each mythos. The poll choices are from properties I know I can create a good amount of characters for with most of them having 2-4 different costumes.

In case you're wondering, I haven't listed other obvious choices like Thundercats, TMNT, or Transformers because I feel characters from those properties will end up being more trouble to create than they're worth. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I went with one choice and that's C.O.P.S. and Crooks.

    Why? Why not?

It's something different. Though it wouldn't be a precedent.

The main reason they made it to this list is because 1. I enjoyed the cartoon as a kid and 2. I did some research on them and saw there were different characters that were only toys and some that were only in the cartoon (i.e. Mainframe), but I could at least get 25 of them made with a close to even mix of good vs bad. As far as costumes go, I'm certain there's enough variances in some toy looks and cartoon looks (Bulletproof specifically comes to mind) that I might be able to get two costumes on some of them. So let's say I end up doing a four way fight between MOTU, C.O.P.S., G.I. Joe and Power Rangers, I'd be totally set. Man, I need to break down and get those DVD sets of C.O.P.S. now. LOL

I think some Star Wars characters (Gamorrean Guards, Tusken Raiders, Jedis, etc.) could go very well with MOTU. I also think many of the Mortal Kombat characters would blend well with MOTU. Honestly, if had to pick one of those franchises for a crossover, I'd probably go with Mortal Kombat. It's definitely not my favorite property from that list (it's probably my least other than I know little to nothing about Battle Beasts other than what they are and wood, wind, fire) but it seems to have many of the same story elements as MOTU.

Oh, but G.I. Joe and COPS together? That's perfect. Honestly, Hasbro or the Collectors Club should find a way to make COPS a sub-team of G.I. Joe. I'd be perfectly fine with taking the cops out of the future to make them 1/18th and add them in with Joe.

Well, Hasbro's mixed Mask up in G.I. Joe and I think that went over well. C.O.P.S. would definitely make sense. I'd just hope they put a ton of distance between Cobra and Big Boss' operations. Big Boss & co. aren't terrorists, they're just street criminals, mafia at best. If presented with an opportunity to join Cobra, I'd bet Big Boss would actually go against Cobra and try to help hand them over to the Joes.

Now I've made a Mortal Kombat roster back on SmackDown! vs Raw '06. I'm sure it was kinda dumb and was doing my best to make them out of the sub par costume pieces I had. For starters, all the ninjas had surgical masks and I was going to MK I looks on them. If I did it now, I'd have some characters I didn't do before like Raiden and Smoke. That's fine because even in this MOTU roster, I'm plan to do at least one character (Spinnerella) I haven't really touched on before. I'm in the same boat with you on Battle Beasts. I only got one package when I was a kid, and I don't even remember which ones they were. Regardless, if I did them, I'd try to make them all as short as possible to pay homage to their scale at least. After going over a checklist, I know I can do around 50 of them. But just a straight MOTU vs Battle Beasts doesn't exactly sit well with me. It'd likely work, but at first glance it wouldn't seem very fair.

Go off the chain and do Strawberry Shortcake. Each figure has a "scent" theme, so they could use their novelty as a weapon, they have a ton of characters too and can be modernized to look similar to MOTU profiles too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ake_characters

Example:Cherry Cuddler: Cherry Cuddler was another baby character, known for her propensity for hugging and being hugged by her friends. Her pet is a goose called Gooseberry. Revamped into a large "Baby Huey" like character who specializes in different types o grappling and has a finishing move of Bear Hug. Has a pet goose that attacks as a special move, another special move is that she hugs the goose and the it shoots out flames into her opponents face.

One you did not list, but has many characters is Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light. http://www.thevisionaries.net/

Alternate idea, Rainbow Brite vs She-Ra vs Strawberry Shortcake. Girl on Girl Violence - G.G.V.

Always looking to trade MOTUC to complete my collection.

When I saw the Visionaries, I immediately thought you were talking about Super Naturals http://virtualtoychest.com/supernatu...rnaturals.html because I couldn't remember the name. Well, similar gimmick with hologram stickers. LOL I know nothing about them, but looking over that page I see they could work at least if it were 4 properties going against each other.

It'd be sooooo unfair, but I might just go ahead and do POP vs Strawberry Shortcake on the next WWE game. That totally made me laugh out load. I'm certain the modern takes on Strawberry Shortcake will be simple enough to recreate in the CAW engine. Perhaps I could even incorporate the Robot Chicken original characters for both MOTU and SS by making Mo-Larr and (W)itch Pudding. Bow would so stomp Huckleberry Pie! LMAO

Been a while since I've updated. Sorry about that. I'd like to thank everyone for their input and hope anyone else who sees this gives me their two cents as well. Also, as of right now with the combined tally of this site and he-man.org, Star Wars is in the lead. In case you haven't seen what I do in these WWE games, here's a taste of what I do with the characters I create in the engine that make up a franchise roster. I'm close about halfway finished with this roster so MOTU vs ??? will definitely be next.

P.S. You should see some different costumes by 0:25 and there's a freeze from 3:55-5:08. Hope you enjoy.
