The first two movies are great. I am a big fan of the two that Cameron directed. T3 and T4 had their moments, but I dust never like them as much as the first two films. The Sarah Conor Chronicles was a good show, but sadly never got a 3rd season. I am curious about how these Genesis films will turn out.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles was my favorite part of the franchise. Too bad they can't continue that in the movies.

^ This, however the Sarah Conor Chronicles show was a miss for me, it had some potential but didn't quite hit it for me...

All the films have their merits, although T2 had far too many action film cliches for my liking. Never did watch the Sarah Connor Chronicles but I heard plenty of good stuff about it from fans. The first film was definitely my favorite. It was pretty bleak, even scary in parts. Pretty exciting stuff back in 1984.

As much as I loved T2, after revisiting the movies, Terminator is now my favorite by far. It could be the nostalgia factor (mind you, I didn't see it as a kid), it could be Michael Beihn, or it could be that awesome 80s music, I don't really know. It's just an awesome flick.

The first Terminator is it for me. T2 was great at the time, but it really doesn't hold up to the others nowadays. T3 & T4 had great potential, but they blew it with all the convoluted "secondary" plots. You could remove the female terminator stuff from T3, and the cyborg guy based on the old Dark Horse comics from T4, and have much better, focused films. They just aren't needed. T3 could have focused solely on the nuclear war (and the whole "changeable fate" angle from the 1st two movies) and John's revisiting his now-changed childhood relationship with the Terminator; T4 could have been more about John meeting his young father, and the whole time loop thing. Instead they were focused on a bad actress and a character we didn't care about wandering the desert. I was really excited about Sarah Conner Chronicles but the bad acting and writing really killed it for me. Especially the actors playing John Conner and the female Terminator- hammy, blank, bland. The new one they're making doesn't look like they're doing much better than the TV show. That first Terminator movie still shines like gold. Zero fat, all awesome. The music, photography, the acting- all still hold up just like when I watched the VHS for the first time in the mid/late 80's.

The electronic piano is nostalgic - but sometimes it comes off a little choppy and in your face.

Still better than an actual music score.
