1980's Masters of The Universe Blade's actor was last weekend Mythbusters episode. Adam and Jamie learned how disarm handgun by using bullwhip like Indiana Jones does in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Was he any good? Where exactly does one learn to use a bullwhip with proficiency these years? I love talking to the Falconers at the Desert Museum http://www.desertmuseum.org/visit/rff_index.php here about how they fell into their craft, they always have awesome stories.

Always looking to trade MOTUC to complete my collection.
Yup. He was good. Surprising quickly Adam and Jamie learned basics of whip. Funny that Anthony De Longis pointed that targeting whip gunman's face is more effective than hand.
Could Indiana Jones have outrun a battery of wall-mounted dart launchers? - Plausible
Can you use a whip to disarm or neutralize an enemy with a gun? - Plausible
Can you use a whip to swing safely across a chasm? - Plausible

You can learn from Anthony himself. That's what I did. I trained with Anthony at his ranch for 4 days prior to Power-Con 2012. He is quite skilled and can teach you a lot in a short amount of time. He and his wife were then kind enough to drive me to Power-Con since they were guests there that year (25th anniversary of the movie). You can contact him through his website http://delongis.com/Index.html.
That year I also got to meet the good Captain Atkin as well (we were both sitting at Anthony's table during the dinner party). Below are a couple pics of Anthony, his wife Mary, Meg Foster, and myself:
I caught this episode Saturday, but I wasn't looking at the screen when they included the name blurb, so when the name 'Anthony' got dropped and they were using a whip, I looked up and said to myself "Is that .... I think it is!" An IMDB search for a current picture after the episode finished confirmed it.
