  • Star Wars spinoff movies?!!! Rogue One!

Wow, things are moving too fast now with the Star Wars franchise:

I admit to being a bit dazzled by the fact that Episode VIII is set for May 26, 2017--only half the time we're used to between numbered installments--but technology has made so many facets of movie-making, from communication to special effects, so much faster and easier that I'm not surprised.

Besides, after what happened to Harrison Ford last week, I can't blame Disney for wanting to get the films made while the Big Six are still alive. (Although I suppose you could recast Chewbacca or R2-D2 if necessary.)

Never underestimate the acting skills of those who done full make-up or suits. The latest Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm St II when they thought they could replace England come to mind.

R2-D2 was recast, because the actor was having health problems last year. The actor who played R2-D2 in the past movies is still on set as a special adviser, which is very cool and respectful, but he isn't in the robot costume this time.

If it is anything like the X-Wing Rogue Squadron books, I am pumped. I am going to finish the last book in the series next week. It has been a long, enjoying time with this series, I remember seeing the first book at a WALDENBOOKS at a Mall back in the early 90's.

The movie I really want to see is a Bounty Hunter film, with Boba Fett as the main hunter. Do it like a Clint Eastwood, man-with-no-name film.
