Wow, I met him once while I was overseas, I was a kid getting into a various of sports back in the day, that's when "WWF back then" was promoting the sport globally. I saw him and a bunch of other wrestlers in the gym of the club that I was at. That was about 30 years ago when MOTU was just the cool toy to have amongst the yuppy kids. RIP.

What would be my introduction to the term villain was in wrestling and this man. The infamous Piper's Pits that would probably have the masses running and calling for censorship and boycotting, this man was a HEEL like no other! And I loved it! I enjoyed his few films and even his occasional returns to the sport from time to time. He was ROWDY before it was Cool!

Thanks for the jeers, cheers and years Hot Rod. RIP!

When I met him during our training, I recall he was so serious and very focused, not even a smile! The other wrestlers were laughing and joking with the other kids at the gym taking pictures and stuff.

Macho Man, Ultimate Warrior, Dusty Rhodes, and now Roddy Piper. Damn dude, these WWF (will always be WWF to me not WWE) dudes are sure dying young. Looks like Hulk Hogan might be next with all the stress he must currently be under as well. Wouldn't surprise me. Very sad. RIP.
