  • Star Wars - Rogue One

Lucasfilm announced this morning that their first film in the new standalone Star Wars series, Rogue One, has begun principal photography. Director Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) is directing Rogue One, which tells the story of resistance fighters who have united to steal plans to the dreaded Death Star. The film takes place before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope. The film is slated for a December 16, 2016 release.

Dude. That is heartbreaking. I hope there is some way you can work on a Star Wars from the US in the future.

Wow, talk about bad timing!!! But like Captain has mentioned, the property will be going for a while, and you'll get your chance eventually! ;-)

That be a dream job, fingers crossed you get another chance. I personally couldn't think of a bigger job than star wars since they ditched cgi. But least you will avoid the shoddy weather

Nice announcement no doubt, however, I hope the property won't branch itself into oblivion in the distant future!

Amazing. Can't wait to see this. That shot of Darth Vader rushing towards the camera was full of menace. This is going to be a badass film.

I am very excited for this movie. I liked the last one, but this one looks better.

I just watched it, and it definitely is one of the better ones from this franchise. It really deserves another screening, but without the 3D gimmicky garbage they keep forcing on us, just way too many blurry and unfocused shots with this unrefined conversion!

It also packs too many details to look for, and some unclear dialogue phrases especially during the last act. I guess when it comes out on Blu-Ray/Digital, I'd be pausing and rewinding the heck out of it!

Im my opinion it ranks somewhere between the Empire Strikes Back and the Return of the Jedi, even though there weren't any Light Saber duel or a Millennium Falcon goodness!
