MOTU fan film on Kickstarter!

Daniel Benedict (Winner of the MOTUC Create-A-Character contest, creator of Castle Grayskullman) is making his own fan He-Man film, but he needs some money in order to do so. He's currently $2500 short of his $9500 goal. This project is up on Kickstarter and only has SIX DAYS left. You can even donate $1, $5, $10, $20 and more. At $30 you get a DVD, $40 a Blu-ray. If $30/40 is a bit more than you can afford to spend, this movie will be available online for free after the physical copies ship out by December 2015 (tentative date) if this project meets its $9500 goal. If he doesn't reach his goal in 6 days, he doesn't get any of the money he's raised so far. I think we can make this happen. If you like what you see at his Kickstarter page, donate what you can/if you can and please spread the word about the movie! Share it on Facebook, post about it on different toy boards, talk about it at your comic book shop, club, etc. Please do what you can. Many people don't seem to have faith that a new Hollywood MOTU movie will be any good, so let's see what magic a real fan can do. He even shows off the actors who will be playing He-Man, Teela, Evil-Lyn and Tri-Klops in his short video. I know this isn't the correct forum, but before moving this thread, please hear me out: - The MOTUC forum gets the most traffic and this project needs attention to get funded. More people need to know about this project. - It would be AMAZING if this project could be "stickied" at the top of every forum for this week, until the funding period is over This movie needs our help to get made.

This is gonna be a trainwreck. He states in the video that it'll be serious, yet in the Kickstarter description states that it'll be a parody

The reason they are calling it a "parody" is so that Mattel doesn't sue them. I don't really think it was necessary to call it a parody as it is a non-profit fan-film, but I'm sure that is why they are calling it that. Although I'm sure the film will have a sense of humour, I suspect it will be played relatively straight.

But look what it says right after - "with the intent of commenting on the Masters of the Universe franchise". It just utterly clashes with what's said in the video. Of course, dubious genre isn't the only problem with this thing.

Cheers Cap, well looks like it go funded, I'm super pleased for him, I'm sure if it's kept simple and not to big, it will be great and the lead ( once shaved) will look great as He-man he just needs guiding away from that wrestling persona in to a more realistic character
