  • The Snake Men by Phil Postma

Canadian artist Phil Postma (The Ripping Friends, Shazam!) has shared with He-Man World his cool take on the Heroic Warriors, Evil Warriors, and the Evil Horde from Masters of the Universe. This week he brings us The Snake Men!

The Snake Men have finally come out the shadows with all there gruesome powers. And this also marks the last of the Masters that I have done.................. for now.

Hope you have enjoyed my rendition of the "Masters of the Universe" as much as I have had drawing them.

So is he going to make shirts of these? I'd buy a few for sure!

Mattel could harass his ass legally if he tries to without making them silhouettes, otherwise many artists before him could've done it freely!

What about all the He-Man shirts on those various T-Shirt websites that come up for 24 hours and stuff. ...like what Pixel Dan wears in every video? Couldn't he do that?

Probably they've purchased the licenses from Mattel to do it, or they found some kind of a loophole especially if they were foreign based!... I have two Tees featuring official MOTU art and both were licensed by Mattel.

Pixel Dan shirts (the ones that he sells, anyway) are just silhouettes of the characters. For these prints, if Phil wanted to sell them on T-Shirts, he would have to talk to Mattel and arrange some sort of licensing agreement. I could certainly see these selling at HOT TOPIC, so it would be worth looking into, for sure.
