“Censorship always defeats it own purpose, for it creates in the end the kind of society that is incapable of exercising real discretion." ― Henry Steele Commager
Fascinating. I think a lot of the differences were based on prototype designs that later changed, and the one that most likely wasn't--Trap Jaw--actually does make sense. There's just too much solid black on the toy version to work on an animation cell, at least in Filmation's style. MYP made him work with increased detail and shading, and finer gradations of color.
By contrast, Hordak with the toy color scheme looks a lot older and more sinister than his Filmation-colored version.
This multibot looks so different, yet when you put the toy colors, there's only the "metal head" that looks really different. I wonder if they could add this head some time in MOTUC...
Ha ! And I never saw that POP episode with Mantisaur ! This is a beast I'd like to get in MOTUC sooner rather than later... Hordak and King Hssss are still missing their steed !
Filmation Clawful and Filmation Tung Lashor look realy different from their toy versions, even with the toy colors on... I think it would be cool to get these Filmation variants in their Filmation colors, because they look like different characters entirely !

Yes I agree! Filmation variants of Tung Lashor, Clawful, Hordak and Merman would be awesome!
