A Mark Taylor himself told me, the Moat wasn't included in the vintage castle because Mattel beleived it wouldn't have helped the sales and it was difficult to package inside the castle box

Incredibly impressed with this Classics-sized two-part print of the exact artwork created by Mark Taylor used in the original prototype of Castle Grayskull! Matt provided by The Power and The Honor Foundation. Also available as a vintage sized print! Very high quality paper stock and ink really make the colors pop. I splurged on two-day shipping for this. Trying now to decide whether to cut and mount this on foamcore or some other hard material, or to have it laminated.

Thanks for posting the pics with the moat & the classics castle, I hadn't tracked any down just yet. I was ready to buy one, but yesterday when I was finally 'allowed' to open my castle, I realized just how big the castle is..... I only have room to display the castle in the closed position, so sadly I can't make the purchase. Just have to say how much I'm enjoying this new forum. Great to see some fans actually enjoying this moat, as compared to 'over there' where Mattel yes-men who have never said a critical word ever, defending any and every Mattlel/Scott decision as best 'right' choice (even Stinkor's reversed forearms) all of a sudden now feel the need to complain about this items price. :rollseyes: so pathetic..... Anyways, back to the good stuff. Great to see this finally being made and I'm looking forward to seeing more pics of the moat in people's collections.

I bought one of these for the vintage castle. It really complements it. I did a really shitty job cutting it out though and now it looks like balls. I'd buy another one but I can't see shelling out another $50 for one.

Thanks, I glued it on box cardboard, then tried cutting it out (big mistake) The edges ended up looking like poop, so I cleaned it up a little with tape. I should have bought a thinner poster board type material.

Those are some great pictures adult collector. Really gives me a great scale to see how beautiful this looks with the classics CG.
