If you had to pick one figure to give to a newbie... Which one?
If you had to pick one figure to give to a newbie... Which one?
Let's say you wanted to convert someone to NA... but you were only allowed to give them one figure to convince them it is a line worth buying- Who would it be?
i have to agree here. I have never had any of the figures, but I would say this one. the only reason I would say other wise, is that its sort of an oversized vehicle figure.... so it would be like picking battle cat, or roton..... that being said, the heman of this line is very cool as well. It is different, but the creativity, and stories you could come up with are cool. i think kids would like it.
I never watched new adventures but remember seeing the toys in stores, they looked too different from vintage for me but have recently discovered Battle Blade Skeletor and really want one.
I always liked Flogg as a kid. He had a really cool alien look. His MOTUC figure looks amazing, and I think the original NA figure still holds up very well to this day.

The Hero of the Quagmi Swamp, SLUSH-HEAD. The action feature and gun/axe are rather basic, but the water filled dome, tentacles and the over-all coolness makes up for that. Also the Battle Blade Skeletor would be a strong candidate.
I would still buy the infamous Stick-Man in all other lines but Classics
Seems most people are going for the mutants so I will go with a Galactic Guardian namely Spinwit to show the different gimmicks the line had as well as some bright colors.
I would give them BUTTHEAD for sure, that is a great ice-breaker. I would then show him Lizzor and Quake, my two favorite. I would end the show and tell with Sagitar - that is the one figure that I go back and forth with every time I see him or think of him, ridiculously genius.
I would then place Butthead on top of Sagitar and have them ride off into the sunset.

Always looking to trade MOTUC to complete my collection.
Hmmm...a tough call. Sagitar is certainly a great idea, otherwise if we are talking basic figures I tend to favor Mutants. Quakke is my favorite, but originally it was Slush head that drew my attention to the line. he just looked so cool, and the water filled helm was a big plus
I love the series and I love the line, with that being said I would give BATTLE BLADE SKELETOR. I came across him on Ebay one year and thought he was really really cool looking.
I can usually be found hanging out somewhere between 1980-1989.
