Beastman actually looks cool on the big Jim gorrilla figure.
The forearms on that mer-man are horrendous but the rest is exactly what I've wanted for ages.
And...look at the shins on skeletor...why didn't they just make these mini-comic versions?!?

Yeah, Mer-Man's gloves are out of control. Everything else is perfect.
A lot of the changes were about parts reuse. If you want Skeletor and Mer-Man to share the same body, you have to compromise on the shapes.
Even this Skeletor I think is a repaint/modification of the original horned helmet He-Man prototype - the leg muscles look the same.
You can see He-Man is close to final as far as his parts go - and they reused them for Man-At-Arms, although his armor is so much cooler than the mass-produced toy.
The actual Big Jim gorilla was much bigger than this, by the way. But it's a great design, I would love it if Super7 made a 5.5" scale Lords of Power toyline.
