It would be cool to see them introduced into MOTU. Maybe have them come from an alternate reality or something.

Good point, much like the Thundercats' alternate reality we've seen in the last DC comics. Plus it's another cheap way to continue the line with new characters without leaning too much on new molds and sculpts.
