  • Hello MOTU fan from Texas

Hello everyone. Names Dom. Been a MOTU fan since 1984-1985 since I was a kid. Still have a bunch of my vintage figures but lost a few for sure. I also had to replace a bunch from ebay about 20 years ago and bought a couple of lots which included a Snake Mountain. Hope to enjoy my time here

Welcome and enjoy this peaceful forums whenever you can... Do you collect any MOTU lines other than the vintage?

        Nice...
Sorry about missing on the Classics, but believe me it was a hell of a ride that was so draining to experience IMHO. I hope you'd enjoy the Masterverse and the Origins while they last instead.

I don't have any vintage at the moment, nor the commemorative series. I do however have some 200X toys before giving up on the line a little too early due to the bad distribution conundrum back in the day. However I do LOVE the 200X/MYP era, and I hope more stylized units will get featured in the current Origins line before it ends.

I have most of the Classics minus the POP and Filmation's subs... And now I'm all in with Origins (except for a couple of the Power-Con exclusives), and I only have a couple of MV figures, and still debating if I need to get all the New Eterina units or not!

I also collect the Mega Construx MOTU line, and some of the MOTU statues whenever I can afford them, but the lack of display space and storage space is my main issue these days...

Yeah lack of space is another issue. Those statues must look pretty cool! I want to see a re-release of the original style 200X figures but with articulation.

I wish Mattel would reconsider releasing a genuine articulated 200X line with some good updates, however the cost of tooling and development might be a BIG issue for them. Sigh...
Yes the statues are definitely awesome to look at, but also a pain to handle, but very fragile to move, store and clean.

      Welcome.

If you did pick up Classics, which ones? Most of them? As many as you could?

        Welcome!

Even though you haven’t posted pics in this thread, I’m still jealous of your vintage collection.
My original toys didn’t survive my two younger brothers when I outgrew them and left them in the basement for my brothers to play with *stupid teenage me!*

With Trap Jaw being my favourite MOTU character, he’s the only vintage figure I’ve rebought. $75 CDN plus shipping is the reason why I only have one vintage figure to date….

Anyways, so you have a favourite MOTU character?
