In his ever-living desire to destroy the mighty ThunderCats, Mumm-Ra quests for a weapon that can rival the legendary Sword of Omens: He-Man’s Sword of Power! But his dimension-spanning scheme kick starts a cataclysmic crisis that will embroil heroes and villains—Masters, Mutants and ThunderCats—in a mind-blowing six-part saga!

What an interesting move by Mattel and DC. I'll be definitely downloading those comics on my iPad as soon as they become available...

The skeletor/mum-ra "ghost" look neat. He-man looks bad. the rest looks ok. not sure what to make of it.

I'm very looking forward to this exaggerated and fantastic art style, it takes some real skills to make it work... His style reminds me a little of the epic work of Paul Bonner.

            I have to say...

            This is more like it!

While I didn't have a huge problem with the previous DC MOTU canon, I love how the characters look and act familiar again. You aren't starting off the series with an all new, all different canon that is even more different due to Skeletor messing with reality. I loved the scenes in Eternos Palace and the Masters helping to save the innocents.

Another small scene I dug was the two strongest TCats removing rubble.

There is some blood present along with the action (since these ARE fantasy warriors), but the combat doesn't devolve into easily killing off characters.

I really hope this does well enough to get an ongoing MOTU series. Or at least keep it going as long as the current creative team wants to continue to make it. Like a bunch of limited series or something.

I just finished reading it and it's an interesting beginning, however the art style is exquisite and I'm hooked already because of it. ????

Hmmmm... I'm actually not such a fan of the art on this.

I picked up both covers today and threw it in my pull list. It has potential and I am also not a fan of the art style...but at least I don't have to read Batman and Nightwing to get the full story.

So after wrapping up this series today, I must say this one was a very satisfying ride, even though it had its weird "slang dialogue" moments! I wasn't also a big fan of the narration lines myself, but hey the story and the action were solid enough to enjoy every issue.

But the best thing about it is the art, it's probably one of the most epic fantasy art I've seen in a comic series in years, at least in this style! I read the whole thing on my big 12.9" iPad pro, and I kept zooming in with every single page just to enjoy all the hidden details that were there for me to discover!

Freddie Williams II and Jeremy Colwell, I bow before you guys, you did and incredible job with this one and took the MOTU appeal to the next level. Bravo...

The final issue was pretty epic. I do like the story they told and I'm a fan of Mummator now. I even laughed at a few of the moments like mild mannerded Adam Greyskull.

I wasn't a big fan of the art style but there's quite a few splash pages that would make awesome posters. It was nice to read something and enjoy it without it having rebirth on it or wars or clone or spider...just wish it was a regular series.
