  • Coming in July: Injustice Vs. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe

An exciting new 6 part DC/Masters of the Universe "crossover" comic is coming this July! Freddie Williams will be doing the artwork for this digital comic book project.

    A message from DC Comics:

Six-Issue Miniseries Brings Together Characters from the Popular Digital First Comic with the Fantastic Heroes and Villains from the Classic Mattel Toy Line

DC Entertainment and Mattel are joining forces to bring fans of the INJUSTICE Digital First comics and anyone who’s ever screamed “I Have the Power!” at the top of their lungs—an epic quest for the fate of a world in INJUSTICE VS. HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE.

This six-issue miniseries will be written by Tim Seeley, who’s no stranger to writing high-octane adventure stories at DC as the writer for DC titles such as GRAYSON, NIGHTWING and GREEN LANTERNS. Seeley teams up with fan-favorite artist Freddie E. Williams II, himself no stranger to the action and dangers of Eternia, having provided the art for 2016’s HE-MAN/THUNDERCATS miniseries. Williams’ distinctive art style has also thrilled fans on other crossovers like the smash-hit BATMAN/TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES in 2015 and its follow-up sequel in 2017.

Believing He-Man and the Masters of the Universe defeated, a robotic impostor has seized control of Eternia—but not for long! After freeing his kingdom from this strongman’s rule, He-Man learns not everyone is pleased to see the pretender deposed—but Adam knows the value of freedom. When heroes from another dimension ask his aid in deposing a superhero turned dictator, he agrees. Teaming up with Batman against the Superman of the InjusticeUniverse, He-Man and his new allies face dangerous and familiar enemies in a battle where no world is safe!

INJUSTICE VS. HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE #1 arrives at comic book retailers and via digital download on July 18, 2018.Check out the website at www.dccomics.com, or the DC YouTube channel for the latest news on this crossover blockbuster and the latest from the DC Universe.

I wish mattel would release dc vs motu figures to coincide with this. All in MotU classics parts as i have shown in my customs and not the DCU parts like previous vs. packs

As much as I dislike the crossover themes, I have to admit that I looove the art here just like the last series, and I'm glad they've went back to F. Williams again to continue his masterful work on this upcoming series, and I really hope the story is decent enough to keep fans interested in the brand.

I have always been impressed by the toys from DC Direct (now called DC Collectibles). If they could do a special MOTU / DC toyline in the style of these comics, that would be amazing. Unfortunately, licensing fees might get in the way of something like that happening, as DC Collectibles is owned by Time-Warner. If Mattel would ever consider making a MOTU / Injustice toy series, that would be awesome.

"So dark. You sure your not from the DC universe"

Injustice. That universe in which Superman put his fist through Joker's chest for Killing Lois and Jimmy then proceeded to take over the earth with his fascist Regime. Why can't MOTU just cross over with the freaking 80's JL? Super Powers vs MOTU that's what we ALL WANT...I get it. This is some 3rd dimensional chess to get people to want MOTU as DLC for Injustice 2. I'm certainly for THAT. But why can't a comic just be a freaking comic and not some cross promotional tie in from the 5th dimension to get people to download the app for micro transaction on their smart devices. Unrelated, but why are those damn kids STILL on my lawn. I told them to get off of it. :-)

I wasn't a huge fan of the DC comics, but I really liked He-Man/Thundercats, so I'll check this out.

I'd really love to see a reboot of the whole saga (including the NA series) in this amazing art style...

I'd LOVE that! "He-Man and the Super Friends of the Universe" ;D

I read issue 1. While I'm sooo tired of heroes pummeling each other, I quite enjoyed it. It's sometimes funny, with a few nice references, and I like the art. The character design is mostly fatihful to MOTUC.

I assume the unusual situation on Eternia wants to be in line with the setting of Injustice (including the role of Andra, originally an heroic warrior in the Marvel Star comics, if the Compendium serves ne right). I think there's some enjoyable satire to it as well.
