  • Club Etheria is ON!

The Club Etheria subscription is going through with 97% sold.

You have the power She-Ra fans! Or is that the honor?! Either way, we just hit our mark for the 2014 Princess of Power Club Etheria sub with 97% of the minimum we needed. While not exactly 100%, that is so darn close and we don’t want to be a Twigget in the mud over a few points so the sub is definitely going through!

We will, however, be adjusting production and it is likely the quotas for any potential day-of stock for the Club Etheria figures will be EXTREMELY low. But the good news is if you are a sub holder, not only are you getting six amazing POP figures and the incredible Light Hope figure, but big picture we have taken another HUGE step in completing the vintage road map! The POP sub secures the 2014 POP figures and leaves us free to now add new and additional POP figures to 2015, and assuming we sell-in the 2015 sub, we will indeed finish off both the vintage MOTU and POP lines in Classics – as well as some other A-list figs from media and other sources!

So way to go She-Ra fans! We couldn’t be more excited and are ready to gear up now to sell-in the 2015 sub and truly make toy history! A huge sincere thanks to all the POP fans who went above and beyond to help promote Club Etheria, run match campaigns, run banner ads, and help keep the heat on – we couldn’t have done it without you. We made it to another huge milestone and the best is yet to come.

    For the Honor of Grayskull!!!

    I'm totally not surprised.

I also see that TG didn't make a video for Club Etheria making it. Not surprised on that one either.

But I'm happy for the POP fans! It's also good that the line can continue without the added drama of the POP fans quitting. We do this dance again in a few months with the Vintage fans...

FFS...deep breaths, ignoring the drama...I'm getting a Madame Razz, completing my Evil Horde (as far as I am concerned), and getting an awesome take on Light Hope. And I have purchased the last subscription I will ever deal with again. Focusing on those things now.

Seriously how low is this mans self esteem that he has to big himself up like this. I gave up on expecting professionalism from anything to do with Mattel and this line a long time ago. But look. Low and behold punish fans who can't afford the subs with boycotting dos but I'm sure we'll see sold out items at big lots later, and remember folks it's all your fault the fans that don't sub arnt real fans so **** them >

I wonder how many extra subs Light Hope's inclusion helped sell?

I've been talking about Light Hope as my most wanted figure for years and years. I believe I even made the original Light Hope thread on the ORG... so yeah, a big plus for me, but I would have subed anyway.

Oh, and I really, and I mean REALLY hate the look of that Madame Razz figure. Pretty much on the same level as Spector to me.

I always thought Razz was a ridiculous character to begin with, but she's part of POP and I kinda have to have her... even though I don't really want her. LOL! I need therapy.

In my opinion, I think the sub was a go regardless of the minimum quota, whether it's 97%, 80% or even %75! It's all BS marketing from an unreliable source!
Mattel offered the sub based on how many DOS POP figures they've sold in the past and they knew there is enough demand to make enough profits, the rest is all extra for their pockets!
And like Captain Atkin has mentioned, there is a good chance for TG to open the sub again for those who missed on it or for those who were hesitant to dive in...

Agreed. There wasn't even a whisper about a club minimum until the .org brought it up, and the current brand manager immediately ran with it when they did.

I don't believe that the sub was ever in any danger either. I will say that I have seen many times it said that there was no mention of a minimum until people on the org and in ask matty brought it up and that is simply not the truth! If you watch the video from toyfair, Scott clearly said when he announced the sub that there was a minimum that had to be hit but they weren't doing a thermometer because he thought it would easily meet it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMCP9UIKbLI it is clearly stated about 3:20 into this video from the press conference.

Not gonna watch that, but will take your word for it. OK, my bad. This is me admitting I was wrong. Still don't believe the sub was ever in real danger, though. Mattel's metrics told them it would meet or exceed a minimum or they would never have offered it to begin with.

And considering She-Ra's anniversary, I'm sure this was gonna get pushed thru; they wouldn't have showed so many figures otherwise. I just hope they paint the bolts on Entrapta's torso red to help rationalize the Horde head there.

I dig her emblem as-is. It's kinda like a cameo brooch, which has a history in women's fashion...and she will certainly be the "girliest" of the Horde, so it suits her that she would have a Hordak (no Prime, thanks) cameo rather than the full emblem.

Anyone who believes this 97%-BS is a fool. They may have had 97% on the first day. Classics are selling like hot cakes. Last year when they made the sub meter for the 2014 sub, it was a fake all along. They knew from the beginning that the sub would end at 115%, fans even discovered that the graphics had been predated. The line is doing better than ever, just look at the output we get- does this look like a toyline that's dwindling down? We get AT LEAST 29 figures this year - how can this line be in danger?

The line isn't in danger and never was. When the time comes for the line to end it will be because Mattel decides to pull the plug, Neitlich will no doubt put a twist on it to make it look like the fans fault though.

I'm gonna say even if they got 75-80% they will push it through. No danger at all of the line being cancelled

Yeah, think about that statement. It makes absolutely no sense. Supply Chain Management has been a hobby of mine since 2003, this is a good article on this subject.

While I'm very happy for those who wanted the POP sub to have gotten it, sadly, these offerings have no interest for me. If the character line up looked more like this:

                                          1. Queen Angella
                                          2. Madame Razz
                                          3. Filmation Tung Lashor
                                          4. Hunga
                                          5. Dylamug
                                          6. Light Hope

I might have been able to get behind it. As far as the 97% goes... well that's a whole other thread topic.
