Crystal Castle - who would pay $150 for this playset?
The design is awesome. So, who would pay serious money if Mattel offered this?

I'd love a playset like that! As bare-bones as it is, $150 is a good price, but I bet if you got the Horsemen on that, they'd spice it up with little doodads enough to make it worth $200.
My fear is that if they do that, Mattel would probably raise the price to $300, or cut accessories to the point where they think they can maximise profit.
I do... I have all the female figures. I think the Star Sisters is what make people go, "umm" All the pinks and lavenders. A rainbow unicorn doesn't help either. LOL!
Honestly, I really don't care what passerby's think. I love what I love and that's just the way it is. Like it or leave it or get out of my house. Ha Ha! Still, a big Crystal Castle is my limit. I'd rather have a Whispering Woods diorama.
I would buy that. Heck I'd buy any playset Mattel would make for MOTUC. The downside is I only expect a slim chance at Snake Mountain. I highly doubt we'd get a Fright Zone or Crystal Castle and I never expect to see Starship Eternia ever made in the line. Though Starship Eternia would be EPIC!
That'd be a tough decision for me. I like POP but not like I love MOTU. Maybe if it's not pink I'd buy it. Ha....otherwise I'd buy it maybe for my daughter. And for $150 we'd only get like half of the castle. Castle Graskull was 3 bills for most of us. Only $260 shipped for me though. Yeah baby!
Of course I would pay $150 for that - I would also pay $250 for it. I want ALL POP. I'd also want the table map from the Vintage toy castle & the weapon rack as well, at least.
As fabulous as the power of She-Ra is, sadly, my two 6 foot display shelves are filling up, and I don't have the space for the Crystal Castle.
Even though I now live in a home that I own with 40% more space than my previous rental, I'm trying to minimize my life and not acquire things for the sake of owning them. Perhaps I'm growing up a little.
I wonder if this will get announced at SDCC for the end of year. After all, it is PoP's 30th anniversary this year.

I wouldn't buy this as I am not a huge POP fan, and I just don't have the room to display it, but this looks really cool. Since the POP figures in classics are based on those Filmation style guides, it would go much better than a vintage toy-based one. I could see POP collectors going crazy for this. MOTUC really does look so much better in a display piece like the castle. It would never be that cheap if it was actually made, though.
