I wouldn't say that he dissed Dragstor. He just said that Shadow Weaver (Filmation) was more popular than Dragstor (MOTU) when you break them down into categories (Filmation Vs. 80s MOTU). This is true because Dragstor was never featured in the Filmation cartoon, and is not as well known beyond the toy line. Shadow Weaver was in almost every episode of POP, and is better known than Dragstor is to the general public.

Dragstor is popular with MOTU fans, and will sell out fast when he goes on sale. As Shadow Weaver was the Sub exclusive, it is hard to tell which one would have been more popular with the MOTUC fans (purchase wise).

          Agreed.

If I give you ten Dragstors, can I get ONE Shadow Weaver? ;-)

Oh hell no. I had to ask Matty about that one.

I think he is saying that D.M. is being harsh for criticizing the dudes' grammar. I have shitty grammar so i don't notice his as much as some of you guys do. Besides all that we have MUCH better reasons to get angry at Toyguru other then his shitty grammar. The fact that he won't get an editor irks me more!

Blast Attack showed up in the Power Tour and the Star Comic, at least, so he might actually have a slighter higher level of awareness than Dragstor. (Let me see...toys who never appeared in Star, not counting variants: Dragstor, Rotar, Twistoid, the Powers of Grayskull dinosaurs, Gwildor ... I think that's it.)

Well Rotar was in the penultimate issue's full page ad of all the heroic warriors ;-) and Gwildor was of course in the Film adaption, but I guess your not counting that? We do no that a couple more issues where in the planning stages (James or Emiliano know more about that) so they probably all would have shown up in an alternate 1987 timeline where MOTU didn't end so abruptly...;-)

Blast Attack also showed up in the newspaper strip: http://bp3.blogger.com/_Tkt_A2r1p6I/...suniverse2.jpg

As for Dragstor and Gwildor - depends on the region. They were featured in German MOTU comics that were reprinted throughout Europe.

Though Gwildor's, of course, a character from the movie so I'd say he's the most famous of all 3.

One of these days, we are going to have to get all that stuff in .CBR & .CBZ files so more people can read them as easily as the US stuff.

When it comes to German comics - preferably with a proper translation. Original dialog is much better than what UK fans got to read.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Extendar. Extendar does exactly what his name imply and does it with more style then that lame ass Mekaneck. At Least Mek look's cool doing his lame thing...Evene Mekaneck is ashamed of how lame he is as well he should be! Mekaneck should go kill him self...again (right "it happened in battle" like I believe that! Dude just lost his son for ****'s sake!) and Man-At-Arms should let him die this time I could give a flying **** about Dragstor. I don't hate him, I'll be happy to have him, I've just never understood the appeal. Eternia doesn't even have that many paved roads...How many drag races are going on Eternia? He doesn't dress in women's clothing. He isn't an anchor character...I don't get him at all.

Plus he kinda looks a little stupid. Uninspiring. . He looks generic like he should be photo bombing an epic Battle piloting the windraider. At least Cy-Chop is a Cyborg that chops stuff...I think Hordak was kind of High when he made Dragstor is all I'm saying. If we never got him in Classics

My apologies for the Drag-fans, the reason I say he sounds like Drag-Queen is because we have loads of them here roaming aorund in the city I live in! I was just being silly... Still, I beileve Dragstor was a lame concept (although I'm looking forward to him) especially when all type of vehicles were available and strong magic to be utilized, but then again, kids love to swoosh and drag things around.

All bad jokes asides, Dragstor is going to be one of the fun ones if that wheel is functional. Do you think Mattel will let his wheel roll? (That is a serious question. plz: no Lulz! reply!

I'm going to manage my expectations:

I wish they could give Dragstor a wheel that would spin. However, I do believe that it will come with a static wheel and then ***guru will come out trying to sell us some spin of his own.

Scott Neitlich: That will show 'em who's the master of spin! Pretty cool huh?

We will be told that the toys don't use play features... even though in this case it is absolutely mandatory that the wheel spins.

I seriously doubt it--a functional wheel would require tooling a completely new torso and abdomen along with the wheel itself. Vintage Dragstor comes out of 1986, where nearly every figure was a unique sculpt. Heck, the only parts reuse I can identify in that year is the head, arms and legs on the leaders!

Really? I never noticed that. POP even had less parts reuse now that I think about it. Great observation!

But what about about Kobra Khan, Man-E-Faces, Ram-Man, Two-Bad and others, they all have unique torsos as well... Not making a functioning wheel for Dragstor would be a super lazy excuse, and lame!

Yep. No wheel would be a bloody joke. If that is the case they should package him as "Sitstillstor". Given that they have jacked the prices to $30 we better be getting a f***ing functioning wheel!

I would like a functional wheel. I want one that at least fits into his chest, not huge. But it better be as good as a custom I saw by MasterEnglish.
