    20. She-Ra - Skirt hinders articulation, unable to sit on Swiftwind, hole in her forehead
    21. Keldor - No MYP double sword (latter included in weapons pack, but we had to pay extra, which is not cool)

    54. Griffin - Wings fall off way too easy
    55. Spikor - Blastic, gummy accessory, fat suit

    63. Cy-Chop - Cracking chest piece (many complain the scissors are too large)
    64. Dekker - No slits in sides of tunic making legs basically immobile
    65. Great Unrest Weapons Pack - Blue shield doesn't match color of Evil-Lyn (although it is intended for her), green Clawful club that we already have in a slightly different tone of green
    66. Filmation Randor - Bicep swivel is absent, no slits in skirt results in figure being unable to sit anywhere
    67. Castle Grayskull Man - Hair is too yellow
    68. Temple of Darkness Sorceress - Same stupid drums, hindered articulation
    69. Granamyr - Reports of widespread breakage during assembly
    70. Netosa - Missing head piece and paint on cape flakes easily

    80. Shokoti - Leotard is wrong, no flight stand for Darkling

    82. Nepthu - Missing paint applications on face, looks like a good guy
    83. Horde Troopers - Armor sits too low, battle damage is unimaginative and destroys the "look" especially for collecting multiples
    84. Sea Hawk - Fat suit
    85. Castle Grayskull - Has stupid hole in the floor, has stupid floor that does nothing but elevate the ground to make room for stupid hole while at the same time minimizing clearance to first floor, small dome room and new orb holder renders Temple of Darkness Sorceress' orb holder useless, Sorceress cannot sit in throne properly (slits were made for her tail, but not her arm wings
    86. Spirit of Hordak - Cape is pinkish instead of red
    87. Two Bad - Uneven legs, feet too small, hard plastic shield rubs paint, heads too close together, straight down the middle cost cutting paint feature
    88. Glimmer - Leotard is wrong
    89. Modulock - Cannot detach at waist, now miraculously we are told that this may be possible with Multi-Bot (i.e., we were lied to that this was a safety issue rather than a design flaw), Y neck piece is too big
    90. Hyrdon - Fat suit, gummy accessory
    91. Unnamed One - choice of the Kowl display stand hinders articulation (see Orko for reference), bleeding and fading paint apps, BS figure that is supposedly a "love letter"

    96. Extendar - Huge gold belt, forearms are too long, gummy accessories
    97. Flogg - Hordak feet instead of Modulok feet that match vintage, helmet is glued down when it should be removable
    98. Double Trouble - Ugly ass face, poor design on head (double chins), Matty actively tried to hide this by using photoshopped drop shadow on official released images
    99. Filmation Hordak - No Filmation head, only one changeable arm, Imp Box is limited which is an insult to fans who can't be at SDCC, comes with a pointless repainted staff which was NEVER part of the Filmation character
    100. Flutterina - Cheap wings
    101. NA Skeletor - Reversed shoulders, fat suit that is supposed to be “skin???, and gummy hands that can barely grip weapon

Are loose ankles not considered flaws? Also, the gauntlets on all Teela based figures - Goddess, evil-Lyn both versions, Teela - are all reversed

Almost everyone with v1.0 Furry Boots has had some type of ankle issue and has trouble standing up straight.

You forgott the reversed shoulders on Roboto!
      Spikor-blastic.
Blades swords are not only paintless, they are anlarged and the moviesword is deformed too.
Extendar also got unproportional long forearms.
      Glimmer-pants not curved in.
      Octavia-pants not curved in.

Presumed cost cutting reasons( ok i guess blastic might belong here too):

Filmation Randor is missing a bicep swiffel.
The Dragonblaster dragon is indeed removeable, but not articulated and the head was modeled with a closed mouth( if not for costcutting reasons its design is inaxplicable).
Sorceress is also missing her left spellcasting hand.
      Octavia- no bendy tentacles.

Stonedar and Rokkon: questionable face sculpt, oversized rock parts made of cheap and brittle plastic
Extendar: ugly forearms (way too long)
Sorceress: IMO it's not only the drums but everything about the engineering of the wings and the way it hinders articulation. Emil's solution would have been so much better

And yes, I consider loose ankles to be a flaw.

Original He-Man, Wun-Dar, Mo-Larr and Beastman all have very loose ankles.

I wouldn't consider stylistic options as flaws, as much as things like Tunderpunch He-man's tone look bad I wouldn't put it in the same bag. As far as the loose ankles go, it's not something , sure it's a symptom of bad engineering, but I also wouldn't consider them a flaw since they are not widespread. My list goes like this:

          1. He-Man (First Issue) - reversed shoulders (though they did correct them afterwards)
          2. The Goddess - cracking articulation
          3. Adora - badly looking leotard (engineering flaw)
          4. She-Ra - hard plastic skirt hinders articulation, unable to sit on Swiftwind
          5. Roboto - cracking chest piece, reversed shoulders
          6. King Hiss - revered shoulders
          7. Snout Spout - foam trunk cracks (can't hold up to the action feature)
          8. Sorceress - huge drums for wing attachment (awful engineering)
          9. Stinkor - reversed forearms
          10. Vykron - blastic
          11. Mekaneck - blastic
          12. Dragon Blaster Skeletor - blastic
          13. Snake Men - blastic
          14. Frosta - where to begin?
          15. Temple of Darkness Sorceress - huge drums for wing attachment (awful engineering)
          16. Stondar and Rokkon - badly engineered leg bands
          17. Octavia - badly looking leotard (engineering flaw)
          18. Shokoti - badly looking leotard (engineering flaw)
          19. Sky High - oversized armor/vest/whatever you want to call it (awful engineering which hinders articulation)
          20. Sea Hawk - oversized armor/vest/whatever you want to call it (awful engineering which hinders articulation)
          21. Glimmer - badly looking leotard (engineering flaw)
          22. Hyrdon - oversized armor/vest/whatever you want to call it (awful engineering which hinders articulation)
          23. Goat Man - oversized armor/vest/whatever you want to call it (awful engineering which hinders articulation)
          24. Blade - Missing paint apps on sword, only comes with one vintage sword
          25. Extendar - oversized armor/vest/whatever you want to call it (awful engineering which hinders articulation)
          26. Double Trouble - awful engineering
          27. NA Skeletor - reversed shoulders, oversized armor/vest/whatever you want to call it (awful engineering which hinders articulation)

These to me are the legit flaws in need of correction because they are widespread to each of the respective figure's run.

Both Ram Man & Two Bad have uneven legs. Loose joints affect a lot of figures, but particularly I think Moss Man? It's hard to say.

Also, a lot of Mantennas have paint coming off at the neck, or broken mouth piece connectors.

Most of these flaws don't ruin the figures, but some (NA Skeletor) do.

            List has been updated.

With regards to loose ankles, I've only listed the two King Grayskulls as in there case the ankles frequently break. I think otherwise loose ankles are not breaking. Still a problem, but too systemic to list... imagine that hey, a problem so deep that we are willing to overlook it when we are paying top dollar for these figures.

Also, this doesn't even get into problems with DR, international shipping prices, sub holders missing Fisto etc. etc. etc.

Add Prince Adam, no sword holder on his vest. Scorpia - cheap bendy tail with no articulation. Battle Lion scale. Moss man not a bath toy. Keldor no MYP double sword (fixed with weapons pack). Hyper anime Count Marzo. Thundercats carnivus. Cartoony buzz-off. Webstor "just like you remember it".

What's up with Webstor? Yes it doesn't have a playing feature like the old toy had, but he's one of the good figures IMO. Also I like Marzo's hair. ;-)

Adam was a genuine accident. The sword holder got lost during shipping to the factory.
Still Mattel could have cross checked a test shot with the 4H...

                28. Battleground Evil-Lyn - Reversed Forearms

That was done on purpose. Fans didn't like the Vintage art looking reversed bracers on Teela and yellow Evil-Lyn, so Mattel made them reversible on Battleground Evil-Lyn.

What is wrong about Battleground Evil-Lyn is that she has the wrong leotard on -- the opposite of what the fans asked for.

Thank you for doing this. This list is long, long overdue and I hope someone will post it over at that other website.

I was worried that there would be too much picking nits, but even worse, the genuine mistakes and faults make up a large portion of the line.

I have not opened my TWO-BAD yet, but some complain about the heads being too close together and the cheap "straight down the middle" paint app as cost cutting.

NA Skeletor - Fat Armor syndrome as well as a poor design choice to make his "skin" into armor.

Flogg - cheaped out and made helmet part of head instead of removable.

Two Bad is a great figure. The only issue I have with him is the hard shield, as the wrist handle will scratch the paint on the arm. They should have use a softer material for his shield to prevent this.

Two-Bad is an amazing sculpt. he literally made me sing and dance. (sooo happy together...) However he is DEEPY flawed. They can't look each other eye to eye like the vintage or 200X figure. I don't think that is a "design change" I think that is a flaw because somebody forgot to take that into account when making a new one.

His 200X weapon was a single tool with no paint apps. His 200X 200X weapon was like a pair of scissors and had paint apps. Is this a flaw, a design change or cheapening out? When is a flaw a flaw when is it not?
my shield looked like somebody chewed on it. It won't even clip onto his arm much less rub the paint off which is what all the shield clips do. A handle that they could grip unto would have fixed this issue. This is a line wide systematic failure IMO. Mini Masters get handles...

A problem for many figures up to mid 2012 - I am not sure though - is the mold release eventually seeping out on figures still MOSC that looks like a white fungus.

Here is another list at that other website that will assist in finding additional widespread flaws.

Please use this thread for sharing all your quality control issues. Thanks I opened my new guy and when I was moving him around I found this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v673/He-Bro/openseam.jpg an open seam in his torso under his right arm.

Battle Ground EvilLyns arms are not reversed. They actually added an articulation point and you're now able to swifel the bracelets.

Teela, Evil-Lyn and Goddess aren't faulty because of those vambraces...that is how they appeared on the Vintage boxart. But some fans didn't like how they looked, so Mattel fixed the problem with Battleground Evil-Lyn, by making them adjustable.

MGM, I disagree. The illustration here has Teela with her left arm twisted such that the elbow is in an unnatural position. That's how I see it. The original vintage didn't look like this.

I'm not convinced that "doesn't interchange with Man-E-Faces" on Double Trouble is a design flaw--the vintage figure didn't, and I don't think anyone ever designed or promoted the figure with that figure. It, and a few other things, seem like complaining for the sake of complaining.

Some of those flaws are quite subjective.
I dont absolve myself of that mistake, but it may get out of hand and ends up to be a highly dubious list.

Ok, updated to include the latest observations. Also reorganized by order of release.

I've removed the "vambrace controversy" as there seems to be disagreement on that.

Also not included is "Faker: blackwash on armor doesn't fit the aesthetics of the rest of the line" as I think this is too subjective. I never noticed anything.

BA Faker on the other hand is made from really cheap plastic that is clearly very different from the rest of the line, so do people want him included?

Also "Kobra Khan: no orange Zodac blaster", he did come with a blaster, but I've included him for his jacked up elbows.

86 Figures. Good god. This line is just problem after problem after problem. Basically ZERO quality control on an adult collector line. When you show it for what it is, it is pretty shocking. Why do I spend my hard earned money on this line again?

Ice slide. Frosta could have been a great character to include some translucent "ice" weapons, blast effects or items with. But she got shafted. Icer, however, did come with an ice weapon.

A little off topic, but did you ever have the 1991 Iceman from Toybiz? That thing was awesome. His Ice Sleed was shaped so you could fill the bottem with water so you could make an ice cube and the figure it self changed colors when put in the freaker! Because of the heat of California weather I use to pretend that Superman evaporated him hahah! SO MUCH FUN! They recalled it because of a fear of lead paint or something so it's a variant that is HTF.
