I'm okay with the head, but that Rubenized armor is another fail. Not my favorite vintage figure, but at least he's coming.

I like the head a lot. I also think the armor looks a bit big, but passable on this figure.

The puffy shirt is ok with me. He does have a few extra guns to pack inside. I'm not sure I like the head, but it does give it that weird anime look to go along with the puffy shirt.

I can't point out what it is, but his head looks off to me. The armor looks okay, maybe because I've seen worse....

          Weird......

I think the way the hair is draped seems a bit unnatural?

I like the head, but it doesn't really say "Rio Blast" to me at all. The shirt/armor is, at least, passable. The paint apps are an absolute mess, particularly the face.

All hail Fat Blast! The fastest (or should I say fattest) drawer in Eternia as well as at eating burgers!

Just like Blade and Extendar before it, this figure just doesn't look right overall. That stuff on the back of his belt looks like something that could've been on a TMNT early 90's figure from Playmates... you call these Adult Colectibles!? Pathetic...

I think he looks ok with the fatty armor. The head looks great, and I'm glad he's coming with his backback. Look, he even has the crotch piece they said was impossible on POP figures - he generally looks like he should which I think is great. The only issue I have is that the guns don't seem to "fold inside" him like the vintage figure. Instead of being a freaky guy who has bionic implants, he looks more like a guy wearing a suit. On the vintage figure there was these cut-out "wells" for the guns to fold into (take a look and you'll see what I mean) that made Rio Blast's lasers more "sneak attack!" style and hidden normally. It doesn't look like the panels shut right in these pictures. I wonder what he looks like in profile, as it looks like everything doesn't close up right and guns would be still visible even when shut. Of course I'm still going to get one.

Although the armor looks a bit too wide from the back, I think it looks good from the front. When he is wearing the laser pack on his back, I don't really notice the wideness at all. Overall, I think this figure looks great.

I don't think his action feature works for Classics, without the cavities in his chest and legs. So I'm keeping my Rio like the first picture. I'm also not thrilled about the backpack not going over his face and eyes. Heck, the visor is unpainted.

I do like the head better than the Vintage 70's pornstar head and even the 200X staction head. Should Classics continue onward, we could still get those heads in the future.

It just seems like another figure that I was initially pretty excited for, but then Mattel helped me to manage my expectations.

Guys, it has been some time since something came out that really made me excited about ripping open the package.
Modulok and Two-bad are this years saving grace for me so far with NA Fat Armor Skeletor being the biggest letdown from prototype to now.

If SDCC reveals are lackluster, I might just start lurking.

Meh. Not my favorite character by any means. Far too cowboy-lookin'. BUT, I have the vintage version, I'll probably get this too.

I agree, his face features would've looked better if he had at least a beard or a goatee. Much like TMS, his original design and style doesn't really suit the sword and sorcery based theme, let alone his 70's- early 80's looking head...

He seems fine, but the head could've been better.

EDIT: What's with the coin stuck on his butt?

This is one of my favorite characters and these pictures are great. I like the whip on his belt. I am not sure about the coin on his back-side. Is that supposed to be part of the drawstring for that green tobacco pouch? I can tell the armor is the wide armor that a lot of fans despise but I hardly notice it on this figure for some reason. It's well hidden under the backpack.

He...could have been better. I really think he needed the holes in his legs and chest. fat armor is just a part of life now? *sign... I liked the original head more then this. I wonder who felt the need to"update" his hair style? What really bugs me is that the visor doesn't seam to fit over the head properly. If they where not going to take the time to do that correctly I would have preferred his 200X look.

hope his bio makes a reffernce to Col. Blast of the Horde. Canonize that they are brothers so it makes sense they both have the same name of blast and that they have similar features

This looks so much better than the first batch of pictures. Honestly, I could live without his accessories.

I personally think the torso really looks disproportionate on that second picture, even the position of the head looks way off.

Without the armor, he seems to have a long neck, but we had a similar issue with other figures like Teela or Buzz-Off.

Clunky, perhaps and I'm fine with it, but his theme is the thing I'm not too fond of!... A cybernetic american looking cowboy on Eternia, yeah that sounds very creative, let's go with that?!!

I think he's an awesome looking figure, and the vintage toy fans will love him. Personally I have no use for Rio-Blast, he's just another visually uninteresting human gunslinger. Blast-Attak please.
