  • MOTU Hot Wheels - Would you buy?

For many years, fans have suggested that Hot Wheels make small versions of the classic MOTU vehicles. If Mattel ever did this, what vehicles would you want to see get made? This poll is multiple-choice!

I would buy them all if they were made in the same scale, especially the 1:32 or 1:24 scales where details are prominent enough, yet don't take a huge display space.

all of them. I'd like the terrordacytle from 200X as well all the cool vehicles fro m Filmation especially The Collector and all the horde ones. If they where in scale with Icon Heores Grayskull and Snakemountain all the better!

I would hope so. As far as I know, it varies with Hot Wheels toys.

If they'd be affordable - sure! And I'd love Filmation version of Attack-Track.

No, I'm not interested. Though I would like to see them made for each and every fan who what them.

I'd buy them all. The poll needs that option as well. Also in the other section, there's FILMation Horde Batmeks and Doom Balloons. Why not throw in the sky track vehicles from the Eternia playset. BTW, never heard of the Rattle Trap, but it sounds cool.

I would buy all of them if Mattel ever made these. I think that there is definitely an untapped audience for these beyond the MOTU fans.

I have to agree here. I mean seriously, if I can walk into Walmart and get the car from "Hart to Hart" or the chopper from "Magnum P.I., why wouldn't I be able to get these?

I'll never understand why they've never tried this yet.
Those stupid Trans Ams or Econoline vans with nothing but a lousy MOTU emblem on them just don't cut it.

If this new MOTU cartoon is to become a reality, then what a great way to promote it than with little Hot Wheels replicas of actual MOTU vehicles w/ "as seen in the new MOTU cartoon" adds on the packaging.
But nope, they'll probably leave the promoting of the cartoon to fans of MOTU to do, just like with MOTUC.....

Mattel is dirt cheap, they would rather print some art on some existing molds than creating new Die Cast molds!

If they made these as Hot Wheels toys I would totally buy them all. It amazes me that this has never been done.

I wish this had made it to Canada. Been checking since Mechs original post. Never any sign of Wind Raider or that Thundercats tank.

As much as I wanted it, I refuse to spend over $30 w/ shipping to get one off of eBay

Is this still being spotted in the Hot Wheels section of American toy aisles?

They're available at Amazon, at least the Wind-Raider is like only $5.49. I got two WRs from them!... I've decided to skip the TC Thunder Tank!

Thanks for the tip about WR still being available on the American Amazon website Mech. Unfortunately with international shipping it’s still over $20. Still way better than $30+ so thanks again.

Honestly I don't know, I haven't been to any place that has toy aisles since ages, especially with this crazy pandemic... If you want, you can PM me your address, I can send you one of my own sealed WRs as a gift?!

I figured as much since we’ve been told forever that it’s up to the Hot Wheels team.

As usual I give Mattel too much credit.... as I would think that since it’s all Mattel, that Mattel’s Hot Wheels team might tell the Mattel employees going to a MOTU convention to pass along some information about any possible MOTU related product to fans that are most likely to buy it.

Regardless I hope they make more, and they actually show up in Canada this time.
                                        I’d buy them all
I think Land Shark would be eye catching to kids in the Hot Wheels section.
Same with Road Ripper and Laser Bolt, just to name a few.
I’d kill for an Attak Trak and Battle Ram, but knowing my luck and how Mattel usually operates this Wind Raider was probably a one-and-done item for them....

                                          Don't lose hope just yet!
I'm sure the Hot Wheels department is very aware of the demand, and I think they're awaiting for the MOTU brand to go hot next year before launching a slew of these vehicles... After all, they've made hybrid Star Wars-esque stylized cars, so they're not that far behind to give a good treat for the MOTU brand.
