MOTU Hot Wheels - Would you buy?

Is that the Disco Batmoble variant?
It's actually lowrider pimping and hilariously looking.

I'd be fine with Hot Wheel variants in different colours. Roton could be done in the Monogram model colours. I was at Walmart yesterday and saw multiple movie and TV Batmobiles in variant colours, and they all looked great to me.

I get that the unique tooling for each vehicle doesn't allow them to do variants with different art decos if they wanna only stick to the original vintage releases, but we're in 2023, and they could do different colored variants for some specific characters or for each faction with unique art packaging.
Besides, Hot Wheels as a brand just cannot lose money regardless of the IPs they're making, it's one of the most selling/popular toy properties on the planet.
I'd buy them all if I could; regardless... Just make them already, Mattel.Last edited by Mechanizor; 08-30-2023, 05:01 AM.

They also sold them as a 2-pack through Mattel Creations, which sold out fast. It wouldn't surprise me if we end up seeing them get sold just at the Mattel online shop.

I'm very surprised to see that they haven't made more of them (MOTU) to this day, while still pumping a lot of different IP cars constantly.
I wonder if MOTU Hot Wheels weren't selling enough, because this particular IP belongs to Mattel unlike the other IPs?!

I really hope we see more MOTU Hot Wheels get released. I'm glad we got Wind Raider, Land Shark and Battle Ram. I'd love to see Roton and Bashasaurus get released in a future wave.

Any news about more MOTU Hot Wheels vehicles?
I’d be curious to know how the Wind Raider, Battle Ram, and Land Shark sold. Hopefully well enough to warrant more.
Honestly, I think I’d buy multiples of every vintage MOTU vehicle they made in this scale. Just the three made so far simply aren’t enough.
It’s more than a little depressing looking back and seeing this poll started roughly 9 years ago and only three vehicles saw the light of day in that time

Great to have you back posting, and yes we definitely need more of them no doubt.

I hope we get more of these. They have been a lot of fun so far.

Got the Hot Wheels Land Shark recently. Nice little replica; even though I got the Origins version last year - it's nice to have this much smaller, die-cast version.
Hopefully I'll be able to get the Hot Wheels Battle Ram soon.

Sometimes Amazon has them listed at retail prices; $5.99... So keep checking.

I recently got my first MOTU Hot Wheels vehicle - the Wind Raider. Great little toy; it's based on the Vintage '80's version.
I hope to get the Hot Wheels Battle Ram & Land Shark - if I can find them. I would definitely like to see other MOTU vehicles done in this scale, i.e. The Road Ripper, Attak Trak, etc.
These are collectibles that I would get if I can find them at a retail store, but I'm not sure I would pay over-retail prices for them online.

I’ll stand corrected if I miss described it, the action feature doesn’t work when you roll the vehicle, however the jaws still open and close. I haven’t opened mine yet, but the Jaws are articulated when you shake the package.

Sadly I had to pay scalper prices to get mine from eBay, but if I find it at MSRP I'll get some more.

That’s cool about the action feature. Makes me want it even more. I hope this one has a proper release in Canada, rather than some secret scalpers wet dream like the Wind Raider release up here.....

I got my HW Land-Shark yesterday, and it's awesome and it has the chomp chomp jaw mechanism as well.
I really want to see 1:24 or 1:18 scaled HW MOTU vehicles made. Die-Cast mixed with plastic elements is something I've always loved since childhood. I used to have a lot of that stuff back in the day.

Yeah, I usually grab two or three... Too bad this Land-Shark's card lacks the vintage artwork.

There are certainly fans of these types of "mural" cars, but I'll save my money for the Wind Raiders and Land Sharks!

-
I found the Land Shark on eBay, and I just made a purchase... So yeah, they're officially out on the shelves somewhere...

Those shitty Hot Wheels that Mech was kind enough to post the pics of back in November have shown up in Canada.....
Unfortunately no sign of that Hot Wheels Land Shark yet. I hope I didn’t miss it.
Has that Land Shark been released Stateside yet?

Now hopefully I can actually find this one in Canada.
Any word out there regarding a possible release date?
No idea when this LS will be available, but I’m guessing soon. (End of the year or beginning of 2021)
