I'm not too concerned if it comes all silver, or with the charity colours. It would be an easy fix with some silver paint. Plus, it was actor Anthony De Longis himself who painted the sword for the charity, so as far as I am concerned, it was Blade himself who picked those colours

It's all good, I'll just paint the sword the correct colors if need be. So, I assume he will not be coming with two vintage style swords??? That's the only thing that aggravates me. They can give the Horde Troopers a ton of dumb-ass looking shields and weapons, but Blade will only get one vintage sword.

Yeah I have to agree with this as well. When you show a product and it gets fans all hyped up for it. Wether it's a figure or accessory. Then the final product isn't what it was supposed to just sucks. Anti-Guru shouldn't have to spend his time painting an item that Mattel should have finished in the first place. And yes we were promised higher prices on the figures BUT they would have more paint apps as well. So many figures I can think of that needed just that final touch of paint hits. Stinkor comes to mind for me. There are others as well.

Awesome looking figure, but man, it looks like they really cheaped out on those final swords. They now look like dollar store swords. I was thinking about getting a second Blade just for the the extra swords, but now it looks like I could accomplish the same thing by stopping in at the Dollarama in town....

When Blade was announced (or rather his movie-sword teased), the color scheme of the sword was based on a repainted-for-charity version of the movie sword:



When asked about the discrepancy between a movie-accurate sword and the presented paintmaster, Mattel said they would stick to the color scheme that the 4 Horsemen delivered:



However, the final sword appears to have lost some color during production (most likely to save costs, but I will not digress how Mattel promised not to cut accessories or colors when upping the price of the figures).



So if Mattel clearly deviated from the Horsemens paintmaster anyway, why didn´t Mattel go with the movie-accurate color scheme instead?
