Haha what do you expect, its just Neitlich being Neitlich... That guy (and his fellow Neitlickers) dont have the ability to comprehend logical thought. The Sorceress (original colors) Beast Man, and Fisto are also going fro ransom prices on ebay. Recently I also noticed that certain figures from other Matty lines are going for crazy money. The original GB Winston with the trap, now starts at around $200 on ebay and amazon...

P.s. I remeber certain people bragging that they bought like 20 Teela figures, during the Matty December fiasco. If they do releasse a Teela 2.0, I hope that the price drops on the original figure, and that all those greedy pricks that bought multiples of her back in December (just to try to sell them on ebay), end up stuck with all of their Teela figures.

When you see so many posts like this for so long, you have to wonder, is it really worth it to do another character over a Filmation Teela/Reissue?

It's just dumb at this point to NOT do one, it's easy money. Scotty couldn't get an extra SKU for a single fan-demanded reissue? A figure many new fans keep saying that its unavailability kept them from collecting MOTUC in the first place? Does anyone at Mattycollector.com realize that for every $150+ Teela that sells on eBay or Amazon that's $150 that they aren't getting in add-on purchases at the site if they did a re-issue of Teela?

Fans tell Scott what they want to by in large numbers, he tells people "Hey we'll be busy with making the D-listers you don't want to buy for the next 2 years, **** off until then." Sounds like a really smart business person there :bang:

Well in some respect I can't blame them for wanting to bring their costs down. It's what every business does. They are the 2nd biggest and wealthiest because of all that reuse. I never mind reuse or straight reissues, it's part of the MOTUC aesthetic. It's how these things can be profitable for them. In general we fans have to realize, while this might be Matty.com's biggest line, and our focus and interest, it truly is a drop in the water when you compare it to the real focus and heavy hitters for Mattel: barbie, hot wheels, monster high, max steel. This doesn't justify Scott's lies and nonsense, but maybe it puts things into perspective. Max Steel alone is all over the Spanish speaking world, and is far more popular than MOTU right now. They've used MOTUC parts in DCUC figures. MOTUC is small potatoes compared to these other lines, money-making wise.

But let's not kid ourselves: MOTUC makes Mattel plenty of profit, or else they never would have added the Wind Raider, or Grayskull, or Battle Ram. No one has ever added SKUs to a dying line. This is fact!

ITS REAL HAIR ON A MOTU FIGURE!

ahahaha! Well it wouldn't be first (that would be Megator!) but I would be into seeing real hair on some He-Man product. I am confident enough in my masculinity that having a real hair figure on my shelf wouldn't make me feel inferior or something and I am sure Scott is so desperate for a sale he'd follow your script above

It would be great to see a 2.0 line either be a continuation of MOTUC buck and style, or something completely different. I am just not too psyched on DC New 52 versions, all of the new comic designs are horrible cheesy cliches. It's like the 1990's came and left us their "Extreme!" version. All they need are some pouches and some cans of Mountain Dew and it's bad 90's Image comics all over again. He-Man doesn't wear pants, full stop. I highly doubt Scott would be involved in a new line as much as he was in MOTUC, thankfully, he's going to be moved to something else.

A 2.0 collection produced in its entirety by the 4HM would trump the current line. But I guess Neitlich's ego won't allow it.

Yea man, it definitely wont be the first time if they do that. The "Demolition Man" figures, were basically reuses of the "New Adventures He-man" figures- just with a Stallone head instead of a He-man one. Mattel is regarded as the biggest (and probably wealthiest) toy company in the world, and they are always trying to cut corners... And Neitlich makes it seem like they are poverty stricken, which is their lame excuse to act like they "have no choice" but to overcharge for crap.

The only reason why the powers-that-be of Mattel havent used any Barbie parts for MOTUC, is because they arent to scale with the line. If not for that, they would have been done it already. And even if they did, there would be those that would still buy a He-man figure, with a Barbie head...

Mattel may be the biggest toy company in the world, but they also come off as the most stingy and greedy.

P.s. Due to Mattel's record of f-ups, if they went the barbie parts route- their She-ra would probably get a Ken head.

I can see that too. DCUC got what, 2, 3 restarts before it was finally sent out to pasture? MOTUC's molds will be used for something until they break or wear out. I could see Mattel using the MOTUC buck for other lines too, like Max Steel or something else. At the very least it seems they warmed us up for Son Of He-Man and DC New 52 versions of MOTUC.

A lot of great answers here, thank you to those that have posted in this thread.

I have a feeling that Neitlich and Mattel will probably try to continue the MOTUC line in some form, even if its under a different name. It looks like they are trying to keep the MOTU brand going by offering those wastes of petroleum- the Giant Motu....those things look horrible in my opinion. But only customers can help decide the future of Matty.

As for myself, I am done with Mattel. I will never buy anything from them again, until they end all of their underhanded bullshit- and Neitlich has been removed from any position at Mattel (same difference)...

Neitlich should be banned from participating in any consumer market, expect maybe shinning shoes at a sewage plant.

I really like this idea. MOC collectors would love it, I might even become one... People who missed out on figure selling for $50-$100+ (like me) would be ecstatic! I don't think EVERY vintage character needs re-release, though a "greatest, fan demanded hits" continuation line would be awesome!

At the top of my Need list (characters I still don't own)

Sorceress (cloth cape, so she can sit)

Fisto ( w/ additional Vintage style head)

Swiftwind (with spirit conversion swappable parts)

    Shadow Weaver...
Straight up, **** the selfish collectors who don't want me to have one! He-Man says you should share. I would share with you. The packaging and poster are exclusive and different enough to settle your desire IMO. Though, If you MUST be placated, I would happily take another version in a different shade of red. 2.0 repaint NOT different enough? SELFISH!

I'd also buy 2.0 of characters I already own., Though I feel the Goddess should be given to subscribers FOR FREE, as a thank you for all the QC problems we've had to endure. I don't think it's a sense of entitlement that makes me deserve this, Mattel's GREED and my stupidity has been taken advantage of time and time again. (I've lost track of how many broken figures I have...)

I'd love a More Alcala and Filmation Skeletor and MYP versions of others. I think "2.0" upgrades, would make then seam different enough. Besides, the swappable parts makes 2.0 and variant kind of the same thing IMO. "She-Ra 2.0" was Bubble Power She-ra right? Roboto 2.0 could be 200X version

6-12 TOTAL characters (no more, please) is a good idea. Announced in advanced, who and what we are getting, I would subscribe...$30 each. But I'm done supporting Mattel with blind faith going into 2016. They are going to have to earn my trust again, and yes, Scott being put on Hotwheels or whatever, would help to earn some of my trust back.

The figures are so ****ed up, they'll have to re-relase all of them. Evil master plan. LOL {*puts on Tin Foil hat]

I'd buy that, but I'd still want that 200X one I still don't have too. Why not just add a "NEW HEAD" as a callback to that "new" burst on the later characters?

Same I'd like a slightly larger torso to make him a bit taller as well. I've always felt he is too short.

I want "Alcala-Red" as well Filmation style, so a larger torso could be used twice IMO.

Plus the newer ankles and no more flat abs.
I hope they'd be at retail too just to not have to deal with digital blunder any more.

If they ever do a 2.0 series, they need to fix up all the screwed up figures. Figures like Double Trouble and NA Skeletor need a 2.0 because they were poorly made the first time. Same goes for Sea Hawk and any figure that was given a fat armor.

I'm on board with these as well. The vintage Jitsu head is so weird, it'd be great to see in Classics.

    Me too. More vibrant.

He's one of the only major characters without a variant. Too bad MOTU vs DC tanked at TRU. Mattel not wanting to make the DC Figures come with unique decos probably helped kill this line. And we certainly warned TG about it.

I'm at the point where I'm almost out of unique characters that I really want or care about, so I'm more excited to get versions of characters that I want to replace or regularly swap out. The only non-variants I really want are Sagitar, Crita, Sssqueeze, Blast Attack and Evilseed (MYP). Not every fan likes the original looks of the characters and would change things with their preferred version of the character (i.e., Battleground Teela's head on the normal Teela's body is MY Teela. Battle Armor King Hsss would be MY King Hsss. ZodaK is MY Zodac.).

    200X/MYP Variants

    • Ice Armor He-Man
    • Prince Adam (200X Prince Adam)
    Teenage Teela (200X Teenage Teela)
Sands of Time Sorceress (200X Sorceress)
    Captain Randor
King Randor and Battle Armor Randor (200X Randor with furry cape and knee brace)
Queen Marlena and Battle Armor Marlena (200X Queen Marlena is a hard sell, so package her with her more popular battle armor variant)
Anwat Gar Sy-Klone (200X Sy-Klone with samurai sword and a Legacy Stone)
WMD Roboto (MYP Roboto with all of those new guns)
Cloak & Dagger Evil-Lyn (Evil-Lyn with Snow Cloak and hooded head, but most importantly of all her 200X Tunic)
Battle Armor Tri-Klops (200X costume, but come with cardback Tri-Klops head)
General Rattlor (MYP colors with 200X armor and arm and leg armor.)
200X Head Pack: Grizzlor, Snout Spout, Buzz-Off, Clawful and Sy-Klone (if he isn't getting a full-on variant)

    Filmation Variants

    • He-Man 2.0 (Basically an upgraded original He-Man figure with a Filmation head, sword, sword aloft hand and scabbard)
    • Captain Teela (Filmation Teela with Blonde Alcala Teela head with hair in big ponytail)
    • Trap Jaw (Filmation colors, arm and head, but more vibrant colors and trade Kronis parts for iconic Filmation attachments)
    • Clawful (Filmation Clawful with Horn of Evil)
    • Frosta 2.0 (Filmation head with light blue hair, WHITE parts to her costume instead of gray, translucent ice accessories)
    • She-Ra weapons Pak (With plenty of "Sword-to" weapons and accessories from Filmation)
    • Imp Pak (With a few notable Imp transformations from Filmation, PLUS Filmation Hordak head and bone cowl)

    New 52 DC Comics Variants

    • Yellow Cross He-Man (New 52 Original costume)
    • Modern DC Teela (New 52 Original costume with both blonde and red heads)
    • Battle Armor Teela (New 52 Teela with Man-At-Arms like costume)
    • Green Goddess (New 52 Green Goddess that's non-translucent)
    • Despara
    • She-Ra (New 52 Original costume)

    Mini-Comic and Cardback Variants

    • Bounty Hunter Tri-Klops (Texiera costume)
    • Green Goddess (Non-translucent)
    • Prince Adam (Blue Vest)
    • Ram Man (Orange and Red)
    • Fugitive Trap Jaw (Texiera costume and green skin)
    • Prince Stratos (Caucasian Alcala Stratos)

    2.0 Figures in General

    • Fisto 2.0 (No 200X weapons and belt, but vintage Fisto head, vintage fisto armor without big 200X sword slot, vintage Jitsu head)
    • Sorceress 2.0 (No wing drums, so she can sit on Grayskull throne)

Cash Grab by Mattel (what's new there?), but it might make sense for those who missed out on the figures the first time around and want to 'get 'em all' this time around. I'm not sure how many of those people there'll be, but it won't be me.

teemu81, I've bought at least 2 subs since the subs started. I'm an org member, but I'm not active there. I will not buy a sub for a 2.0 line. As draego said, doing so would be crazy. I might cherry pick the figures I want though, and free from my promise to myself that I won't buy a MotUC from a 3rd party, I may evern preorder from BBTS or a third party to save me the WSOD (or whatever colour they change it to).
