So I'm curious to know if people would want to have Filmation figures of He-Man,Skeletor,Teela,MAA,Clawful ect ect?? Personally I'd love to have them. But I think the timing might be off right now. I think we're trying to get all of the vintage figures out in the Classics line first. Yet I thought it could be a great start or refresher after we're finished with vintage figures. Possible Filmation variant line with some other Filmation figures we may not get to like Lizard Man,Evil Seed,Vultak,Hordak & Col. Blast. Please share your thoughts & opinions.

Filmation Variant Figures in the Classics Line

I can see releasing Filamtion variations of figures that are drastically different from the original figure. Like Hordak... He's pretty different from the toy version in all respects, while He-Man, Skeletor, MAA, Teela, etc. are already too close to the appearance of the toy. Surprisingly, Nite-lick even said that doing Filmation versions of the main players wouldn't make sense because they are already too similar... and that is probably the only thing I will ever agree with him on.

I can completely see your point on this one. I do understand they are close. But I was just thinking along the lines of an almost complete Filmation set. Meaning since we have started Filmation characters why not sprinkle them in. I mean they already have the same bucks to do these. Really not much new tooling at all. There are some differences in armor & color especially. Maybe in a movie year. Ha.....

I personally don't care for the Filmation designs, but I know there are folks that are hoping to see it. If they were going to do that, I hope it would be a separate sub, frankly. With the clock ticking on this line, I'd hate not to get some of the POP figures we still have left because a variant would take up that slot.

Considering how Filmation like the PoP gals are, it does seam odd that the MOTU are almost straight vintage toy. I think Filmation styled (in the way of POP figured) in Classics, would be a good way to extend the life of the line and also get key characters like Sorceress, Beastman and Teela and Fisto into the hands of the people that desperately need them!

I definitely want a Filmation Clawful. He's so different looking, I'll use him as a completely different character.
With Trap Jaw being my all-time favorite MOTU toy & character, I'd love a Filmation repaint of him.
Since I'm still looking for a second Teela to display her snake headdress, I'd love a Teela variant too.

I think there should be a separate sub that has Filmation mainstays (He-Man, MAA, Teela, Skeletor, Evil-lyn, and Beast Man). While many of us might not want them, they would allow an entry point to this line. Granted they are probably a year to late for this (par for the course for Matty management).

I could probably do with a Filmation headpack of He-Man, Skeletor, Teela, Mer-Man and Man-At-Arms (Hate his black mustache.) But I wouldn't mind an actual variant of Hordak, Clawful and Tung Lashor.
Though I will admit, I would love a 2.0 He-Man that comes with sheath on his back, Filmation head, a Filmation sword and the ability to strike his classic pose.

Hordak, Clawful, Tung Lashor and Modulok are pretty different.
He-Man is a strange case because Mattel has recently taken to lighten He-Man's skin from his super dark skinned Filmation tan. Now, aside from his head, wrist articulation and possibly his sword sheath, he's not much different from his Classics toy. Iw ould have liked to get a Filmation He-Man that was as dark as Buzz-Off's complexion.
Trap Jaw is a variant that I would like. Give us his Filmation arm and colors. Maybe some Filmation attachments as well.
