Oh, and he just revealed another lie... remember when he said DC could use MOTU parts but MOTU could not use DC parts because of licensing issues? More bullshit!"If we don't believe in freedom of expression for people we despise, we don't believe in it at all." ― Noam Chomsky

He cited legal issues. Legal issues such as copyright don't go away simply because a line is finished. Plain and simple: he lied.
-
-
Unless it was a contractual issue that has since lapsed or been changed, like an exclusivity deal. Wasn't Mattel also doing Marvel toys at one point?
Neitlich's a marketing guy and doesn't seem hesitate to shade the truth or outright lie, but given the line's preference for holding costs down, I'd think that they _would_ use DC parts everywhere they _could_.

I call BS on the Multibot leaks being fakes. Totally the same sculpt, just not fully painted

That's what I thought too, the pics were a little blurry so the details weren't showing clearly.

Totally. Yet another lie from this douche!
-
-
I thought the exact same thing. But of course we are all wrong. After all, that bastion of truth Neitlich made sure to take the time in that video to tell us all.
What a douche. If he wasn't lying, then just not even mention it. But no! He's got to bring it up and try to peddle his BS as fact again.

I thought utilizing DC's parts library was forbidden.
I like Sssqueeze and Blast Attack, but I dislike the Vintage head on Sssqueeze. I prefer the 200X head.

Given that they had to sculpt a new chest and waist piece, how hard would it have been to make it snap together in the middle? Who cares about ab crunch and waist swivel."If we don't believe in freedom of expression for people we despise, we don't believe in it at all." ― Noam Chomsky

Nah, I don't think so. 200x Skeletor had a pin head. 200x He-Man looked like Ken from Street Fighter. But you're right, it's subjective. I do agree 200x Squeeze's head was better
-
-
I said most, not all! ;-)
However, aside from Alcala's version, I believe the 200X Skeletor's head was a lot more sinister.

Got to love how some of the same idiots who can't see the difference with reversed shoulders are now trying to convince others how Multibot's leaked heads are different from the revealed ones...

Most of the figure reveals look good to me. It makes me wonder, if Mattel put this lineup in quarter 1 instead, they would have probably sold more subs.
Glad we're finally finishing the Snakemen!
Great work by the Four Horsemen once again.

Exactly, TG thinks most people are idiots to believe him... And yes, he actually said that those heads were fake! You can easily see they have the same sculpts but blurred a little where the details weren't showing clearly.Last edited by Mechanizor; 10-12-2014, 05:09 AM.

How can anyone believe anything that idiot ever says? Such a ****ing dumbass.

Queen Angella looks pretty good. Wings are way better than what we got for the Sorceress.

#1. I am AMAZED that Blast Attak did not get Trapjaw legs. That said, most of his parts look like new sculpt - the arms look like NA Skeletor a little - or roboto. If not - I am amazed at that too.
#2. It looks like he MIGHT have the ability to separate - the torso - front and back look like they could fall apart and that crotch piece looks tiny - there looks like some "key" piece on the middle of his back.
#3. I like the original Blast Attak from MOTU. I actually referenced him in a statistics paper I wrote on the correlation between Saudi Oil prices and Suicide bombings in Israel - which was turned into a white paper by my professor. That said, I did expect more for the Horsemen. I am glad they didn't **** him up, but I wanted more.
Squeeze would have looked better with a 200x head and replaceable normal arms. You can see how his knees are bent and one is placed further back that this figure will need to be crucified to stand up straight. Really disappointing in 2014 that someone, anyone, could not figure out a design to make him stand up without toppling. Bigger legs and boots? Hollow segmented arms?
Once again, disappointed in the Horsemen on this guy. 200X version is the best.
Multibot. LieGuru cott Neitlich lied again, straight up. The COMPLETE lack of paint accents on his arms and legs is just pathetic. Really, really sad. After Modulok and NA Skeletor, Multibot is pedestrian. All three of these figures shown today are boring. A No chance for fat armor thank god.

About Blast-Attak, TG said he doesn't have the exploding feature, he's just a normal figure!
-
-
I wonder if they considered it and then dropped it. That's how he looks to me, look at the lines and the side torso. Customs from 3 years ago should not be outdoing current Mattel products.
This leaves me no hope for Dragstor now. Which is disappointing to say the least.
-
-
Its a possibility that originally he had that feature especially when the ab crunch feature was sacrificed. I guess we have to wait for the 4horsemen to comment on its making.

I gotta say I'm not really excited about any of these. Not the 4HM's fault, but these are the Z-list of MOTU. (Except Angella, but I have no interest in POP)

I have to disagree. We have come to expect the 4H to be wizards, only to have "design" Ruben and Neitlich them into medicority. WIth these protos/production pieces - they are pretty bland and unimaginative. Especially when these three figures have so many new molds, that is kinda carte blanche to sculpt the shit out of the parts.
Granted, they are c-List Vintage, I agree.

LOVE Blast-Attack!
Sssqueeze looks pretty good too, though, dunno... without bendy arms... not much interested in owning him.
Multi-Bot, never really cared about him, to be honest. Still, turned out pretty great.

These all look great to me. I know a lot of people seem to be upset that Blast Attack doesn't come apart, but I really wasn't expecting that level of action feature to be incorporated into this line. Still it could've been cool if they made the armor split down the middle instead of the sides and added some kind of snap on blast effect. I hope we get a more snake-like (or 200X styled) Sssqueeze head down the line.
The multi-bot heads are clearly the same sculpts as the "fake" ones in the preview. They have many details that differ from the vintage design and they are all the same on both. Unless it was a psychic customizer these are the same heads.

How not? We got that "action feature" with Extendar? Easy to do the same here. No excuse IMO.
-
-
Using a different style of joint that allows for the standard parts to be pulled apart and recombined is not as involved or as expensive as developing a new torso that splits down the middle. While they have given Tallstar, Meka-Neck, Rattlor, and Extandar special joints and extending pieces, they usually avoid mechanical action features especially if they disrupt the standard articulation. I agree it would've been cool if they worked something out for this. Even, as I mentioned, a split apart armor and removable arms would have been cool to see. I just wasn't expecting it, so I wasn't let down like everyone else.

Scare Glow glows in the dark
Rock Warriors transform
Battle Armor characters have swappable chest pieces
King Hsss has an alternate torso
Rio Blast has his attachable guns
Rattlor and Mekaneck have neck pieces
It's not truly a deal breaker for me, but I think people did expect Mattel to work a translation of the action feature somehow.

I'm usually vintage all the way and really love this new batch of figures, but I would have loved the 200X version of Sssqueeze as an option. Either removable hands or an alternate head would have been great. The "gator" head could work if it was more menacing.
I loved all the 200X Snake Men redesigns, save maybe Rattlor's head; those designs were ultimate!

SO MUCH TOOLING! *drools Though they all look somewhat cartoonish in proportions. Except for Queen Angela. Are these sculpted by The 4HM's B team?
Extra head and Hans for Squeeze would be cool. His concept name was Tanglor. Like Some people have Kamo Khan as his own man in addition to Kobra Khan, Tanglor is a name that could be used for Squeeze's snake head 4 hands brother? 2016?Squeeze looks perfect IMO, though his "weapon" seams more like a companion, and this is a time where I had expected the 4HM to interpet it as such like Hordak's Bat Shield/200X styled Imp. This was also a problem I had with Tung Lashor's "cross bow".His legs and armor is gonna look great of some random NA guy the 4HM reinterpret I hope.
Queen Angella is PERFECT. Is that a new Sword? (shares wings with Hawkgirl you say?...)
I love the whip for Blast Attak. Disappointing that he doesn't separate in half, though even that gimmick as lame on the vintage toy. I read a suggestion that he should have detachable limbs. I like that idea. I wish he came with a snake man logo belt (like Cy-Chop, Trap Jaw) as I follow the mini comics very closely. Would have been a good place to store his whip.
Besdies the variants, this leaves unseen (just off the top of my head...)
Rotar
Twistoid
Saurod
Dragstor.
(I know I'm forgetting someone...)
