  • Mermista: Reviews and Discussion

Just got my December shipment of figures in on Christmas Eve and I've finally gotten around to reviewing them. What does everyone think about Mermista? I really like her. I can't say that she was one of those characters I've been pining for like many other fans seem to have been doing but she feels very well done. While many of the POP females feel like they've gotten the short end of the stick, Mermista feels like she was handled with a lot of care and forethought.

Anyone else grabbed this fishy female yet?

I haven't gotten her. Not going to get her. Not my thing.

But I am sincerely happy for those who wanted and her and will finally get her.

Mermista really pops out among the rest of the POP figures on my display shelf, not in a good way. She has a pasty, pale face compared to the rest of the girls. Her humanoid leg half is flawed big time. Warped ankles and loin piece that just isn't form fitting enough. So it goes in the spare parts box which is over flowing at this point. She looks fairly good with the fish tail and the stand kinda works... but still wont stand up straight without some engenuity.

I don't collect POP, but I do really like how her tail turned out. It looks like she has a receding hairline, though. That's a definite five head.

LOL! yup, huge five head too. The fish tail has a glitter effect on it which I wasn't expecting... makes it look kinda like a real fish body.
