  • Does Mattel Read This Forum?

This is something that I'm curious about. Do Mattel employees get opinions from this forum as well as the .org and Mattycollector?

    highly unlikely!

I'm with teemu on this one. Why would they need to?

Val seems to be doing all their research for them nowadays anyways.

It would be interesting to know if they did.
If they want to get the unfiltered real word opinion, wants and desires of it's consumers they should.

Yes, they do read this forum. On average, I speak with reps at Mattel about once a month. They contacted us to help with promoting the subscriptions in 2015 (as I'm sure they also did with other sites). We also post MattyCollector banners on the site. We have a good relationship with the new team at Mattel.

Great to know, I wasn't sure of how they would take our criticism.

To be blunt, most of the criticism was aimed at Toyguru, Val or Digital River. The new team appears to be working with everyone, where Toyguru had beef with certain fans and blacklisted them.

Happy days, hopefully this can be worked on to bring up the profile of the site

That's good that Mattel has a good relationship with the site. Now how about some Hemanworld version of the WTFWTK Q&A's?

That would be fun to see here, especially after Neitlich's departure... Also, it might attract more people to join in.

              A Q&A would be great.

To be honest, I would like to see Mattel do Q&A's with other fan sites again as well. Right now they only do them with the Org, and if you look at the names it is almost always the same people asking questions. There isn't much variety anymore. Say what you will about Scott Neitlich, but he did take questions from multiple fan sites. The new team at Mattel should be taking this approach again. It helps to build a stronger community.

Do the other sites care to ask nowadays? I know interest in the Classics line has dwindled down to the most hardcore of fans, but the new Filmation line has re-energized long departed fans into returning to the .org. Maybe if Hemanworld started doing Q&A's, then everyone else would follow suit, Itsalltrue, Fwoosh, etc. -- IF they are still fired up about MOTU.

Perhaps Cap should ask. It would be a good attraction for the site.

I agree with Hemanworld taking part in Q&A with Mattel. Maybe Hemanworld can have their own Q&A with members from this site.

Well I have an issue with the way the new team handled King Hsss and the lack of Early Access for Twistoid and Rotar, both of those things are straight up bullshit... and I hope they are reading that!

Can i add, someone please get a shipping distributer that can actually handle the business and not gauge on shipping price.

Seriously!!!! 7 yrs has been way too long to not learn how to not cancel subs, get orders right..oh..& combine subs or shipping.

Also getting a replacement can be a joke

Don't get me started on addresses outside the Continental 48. To Mattycollector I'm an US Customer Half of the time. The rest I'm an International customer, which is BULLSHIT seeing that on 2015 I'm an US customer with my mailing address being on a USPS PO BOX (with items being sent via USPS), but on 2016 I'm International... That kinda throws a wrench at getting Snake Mountain...

Here are my questions for He-Man World Asks:

                    1) What would be needed for Matty to offer a NA mini-subscription for the 2nd half of 2016? A mini-sub has been used every year to complete the vintage line. NA is still under-represented.
                    2) Who does a local convention contact to sell the Travelling Convention Exclusive? There is no info on MattyCollector.
                    3) Any plans to sell DC comic book variants in comic book stores?
