    Just wanted to point this out from over at the Org.

    Someone contacted the Better Business Bureau regarding the King Hsss torso situation and received a response and a settlement from their complaint:

    "Business Response
    The consumer was contacted to discuss the Complaint. We apologized for the unavailability of the originally advertised figure and offered the consumer a voucher to be used towards the purchase of any Mattel item. He accepted the voucher and expressed his appreciation for the follow-up.

    Consumer Response
    On 9/1/2015, Mattel representative ****** called me and informed me that she had contacted Mattycollector.com/Digital River in an attempt to ship the King Hsss snake torso to me. However, the Mattycollector.com design department told Mattel that the torso was not finished being manufactured. Mattel offered me a $45.00 voucher to be used on any Mattel product. I accepted their offer."

    Seems like a good sign. I filed a complaint today as well, so anyone else who subscribed and is upset about the King Hsss torso might want to find resolution through these means. Seems like a much more sane and reasonable way to handle this issue than talking about class action lawsuits or boycotts.

        What recourse does a Canadian subscriber have? Am I able to contact the BBB, or the fact that I'm not American mean I'll be ignored?

          I'm Canadian and have got results before using the BBB (this was about a replacement Battle Ram). Anyway, I just wrote to Matty indicating that I know they have given a $45 voucher to a customer who complained with the BBB. I copied and pasted the whole claim to my email and demanded the same. I said I would file a complaint with the BBB if I didn't get the same result. Let's see what they do.

        This may be the best and simplest solution ( the voucher, that is). Subscribers get Hiss or equivalent value; Mattel doesn't have to deal with the logistics of shipping the torso separately; non-subscibers can still get the figure.

          Just a note: reading over the original resolution I posted it seems like the individual who filed the complaint was given a $45 Mattel voucher, not specifically a Mattycollector voucher. This probably can not be used on Mattycollector. For me, I also collect WWE Elite, so I'd be fine with the solution, but others may not. Just a heads up. Obviously, I think the overall goal here is to get Mattel to amend the policy and deliver Hsss to subscribers as intended.

          Interesting, I hope Mattel would just send all subscribers the resolution voucher and get it over with!

            I feel like they would save money by just mailing the snake torso to subscribers. Will be interesting to see what happens.

            I don't know; I feel like any money they might save on production costs would probably be lost in packaging, shipping and logistics. I think trying to add an extra item would be more trouble than it's worth for them.

            I agree with Matthew here, and Mattel might even make more profit by forcing subscribers to make an extra purchase from their dreaded site!

          So Matty responded...

          We apologize for any inconvenience, however, the resolution you are
          referencing was issued by Mattel and not Matty Collector and as such is
          not something we can pass on to other customers. Regarding King HSSS
          please be aware that we are still reviewing all solutions and the final
          decision has yet to be made on how that figure will be made available.

            Interesting response! So there is a slim chance that they might offer a mid way solution after the Hissss mess they got themselves into!

          Now that they have admitted they are at fault, the flood gates are open. They tried to be smartasses and jip the fans, but the the BBB showed them for the true schysters they are. Disgusting and pitiable crooks. How does a U.K. subscriber go about getting the voucher?
