  • Transparency!

Just wondering what folks think about Matty's new found silence on the official boards? After touting they would be transparent, they have been anything but that. I can appreciate them not wanting to engage as much as Scooter did, but there have been a number of major issues that need responses and have thus far been treated with nothing at all from the Matty Camp.

    Recent major issues include:

How the King Hsss Torso fiasco will be addressed
EA not being offered to subscribers on SDCC items
PD Teela being a complete disaster
Electronics on the Laser figures and whether they will ship international or not
Fat Armour appearing again on Flying Fists He-Man
Poor paint apps on recent figures (mostly the eyes)

They said they would make us feel like Kings. They said transparency was the name of the game moving forward. These were their words! No one made them say it. If anything, I think things are unbelievably being handled worse than they were before and that is saying a lot because TG was a complete screwup as far as I'm concerned. This new team had a very low bar set for them and they can't even clear it. Makes one wonder if part of the criteria for hiring people at Mattel is utter and sheer incompetence?

When will this group of clowns finally get their act together? I hope you're reading new team... YOU SUCK!

I am not trying to defend the new team by saying this, because I am not defending them...

I think they are doing simply doing what's easiest for them (which is very crappy for us) by not saying anything until there's a reveal. Problem with that, which the new team has failed to realize, is the silent treatment can only work as a stalling technique for only so long. And anyone with half a brain over there should be able to realize they've stalled loooooong enough.

If there's one thing we've all witnessed during Neitlich's craptacular tenure is that the majority of complaints are silenced when something new and shiny is revealed. This fandom in general has proven time and time again to act like a dumb cat staring at the light coming off a laser light pen. No matter how many times Neitlich made matters worse by putting his foot in his mouth, 'all was forgiven' as soon as Pixel Dan had a new commercial, I mean review, put up online or Neitlich put up one of his own videos.

Looks like this new team has taken the extreme opposite approach of Neitlich's foot-in-mouth disease and has decided not to say a single word. I agree with you Draego, I think this is even worse, especially after all of their own claims at SDCC that they would be better than the last regime.

Yes, they are not lying to us like the last guy, but as time goes on, it looks like the only reason why they're not lying to us is because they won't open their mouths at all. Neitlich never would have lied to us either if he was ever capable of keeping his trap shut...

welcome the new boss, same as the old boss

I know that the new King Hiss comes from the new team, but I thought Public Disgrace Teela and Flying Fats He-Man were developed under Scott's watch.

The problem is they are not being accountable. Their silence is tantamount to them saying "we don't give a shit about what any of your think or say".

Mr. Scott Metzger used to always say that Mattel was ran by a bunch of monkeys, Neitlich was just a baboon showing his ass.

Their tactics I could care less about, but they should have answers somewhere out there to major questions.

            At least....
How much is Point Dredd? (Unless it's delayed)
            &
Are the LL figures still a part of the sub?

Yes, less than a month away before Point Dread's supposed release and no price given. What the hell?

Has Matty Collector ever done this before?

Last month hordak.de asked Skeletor's Love Child directly about the laser figures and she responded that it is only a rumor.

                  don't forget:

Dragstor's torso is black instead of blue like vintage.
Terror Claws skeletor has the wrong shins.
                  Ceratus also has fat armor.

Not everything that the new team has done has been a home run, but overall I have been impressed with how they are handling the line. There are always going to be a few learning curves along the way when a new team steps in. Especially when the old manager leaves on short notice. I do think the good has far outweighed the bad this year. I've been very impressed by the new Filmation line that is in the works for 2017. Pulling King Hsss after he didn't turn out the way they had originally planned does show that they are looking out for quality.

omg, it looks like, for no good reason, they decided to give everyone new boots with an ankle pivot. the problem with this is that now dare & every other male (vultak & failmation he-man) is going to be taller than every other figure in the line. plus they have the weirdest looking out of proportion legs.

nobody asked for this. have these guys never heard the phrase: "if it aint' broke, don't fix it"? meanwhile the females still don't get the boot articulation that they used to have.:skeletormes:

the protoypes are on ebay, i'll try & post a picture tonight.

Interesting, if the new lower legs are gonna look like that, I think it's an awful move by the design team!

Some better shots of the prototypes - which look exactly the same only more thin.

Wasn't trying to add links, was adding attachments from direct upload. Curious. Pretty sure the browser was acting up. Switched to a different one and it's working fine - sorry about that
