  • Matty's May16th announcement, with some changes!

If you haven't seen it yet, Matty has posted this a couple of days ago, expect more delays on Darius and Night-Stalker!

    Early Access 5/12All Access 5/16

    • Masters of the Universe® Classics Ninja Warrior*
    • Masters of the Universe® Classics Scorpia™*
    *Subject to Early Access sellout.
**Unfortunately, Darius’s work on the Galactic Council has been pretty hectic these days! (Must be all the villains coming out of the woodwork in Collector’s Choice this year.) As a result, shipments for our Darius action figure will be delayed to the beginning of June, 2016. In addition, in order to avoid logistical & shipping issues, those ordering Darius and other figures during our May sale will receive their full shipment at the beginning of June, 2016.
Please note: Due to production issues, Night Stalker™ is now expected to arrive in September.

What a joke. This whole sub system is supposed to be a set release schedule, not a botched effort every single month.

Night Stalker not until September! Outrageous!

Regarding Night-Stalker's delay, I guess it will give my credit card a little break, even though I'm kinda bummed out with this crappy news!

Just let this joke of a line limp along until we get the Stridor repaint. That is literally all I ask at this point. I do not care about literally any other thing - not even Snake Mountain. Just let me have my robo-horsey.

Did you see how big Night Stalker is? Hopefully they are making him smaller. He looks ridiculous!

I actually don't mind the size - he's (it's?) a warhorse, after all - but I admit it is well outside the size range of the old toy or how it was commonly depicted.

Here is a size comparison between the two versions, the new one definitely feels more like a war machine/vehicle, where the old one looks more like a robo-donkey:

...I just decided I prefer the larger size. They chose to make the toy version - the version that the humanoid characters ride in as opposed to the "mechanical horse" from some of the art that the characters rode on. Therefore, we are essentially looking at a horse-shaped tank (with either highly advanced AI or some undefined, supernatural self-awareness depending on the media). As a horse-shaped tank, the Classics size is perfect.

I feel the same way, the new version is my favorite of the two... However I wish they've updated the laser gun designs, or at least added some extra highlighted paint on them.

The larger size looks good to me. More intimidating.

There are a lot of issues are happening in China's production. I've ordered a bunch of MOTU busts and statues from Sideshow's site over a year ago, yet only one has showed up to my door! Every month or two I get a delay notice from them regarding the other items! Simply frustrating!

Someone posted a leaked pic of Night-Stalker's package, they've treated/packaged him as a giant figure instead of a vehicle:

He was released as a mechanical ''beast'', not a vehicle. Separate budget.

That sucks. Basically so they could get out of making cool artwork.

Mattel always said that they were going to release it as a mechanical beast. Roton got the vehicle spot this year.

If he's being released as a "mechanical beast", does that mean he's officially cheaper to obtain?

He will be cheaper than a regular vehicle. For one, he doesn't come with an action figure, so that shaves off a few dollars.

The same goes for the Wind-Raider, so I hope he's in that range or less...
