• For Collector’s Choice subscribers: Night Stalker™ will be held until General Sundar™ arrives, starting at the end of September. General Sunder™ sent word via rebel courier that he thanks everyone for their patience and he’s fighting diligently to reach us and his family. Your card will not be charged until your order ships.
• For Club Third Earth subscribers: The first subscription figure, Lion-O™, will be arriving just a little later than planned. (We blame it on the TSA – ThunderCats™ Security Administration.) But you won’t have to wait long … we expect Lion-O™ to start shipping at the end of September. Your card will not be charged until he’s ready to be shipped.

My contact inside Mattel told me that "Mini Nightstalker" is a design choice suggested by the marketing department to make him more child friendly, but really, it's just to lower the cost of manufacturing. (for the people who couldn't tell...Th, that was a joke...)

I think that's a bad Photoshop. You'll have to remember...Matty isn't the priority for Mattel employees, so making the scale look accurate or even posing the figures correctly isn't something that they really care or have a passion about.

If Nightstalker was THAT small, you couldn't fit a figure in there!

If Nightstalker was THAT small, you couldn't fit a figure in there!

Whoever took the photos of the horse also doesn't know how to pose him either, the anatomy of the back legs' motion should be facing the other direction!

I ended up buying 4 General Sundar figures today. The figure comes with 4 heads in total, and is a great army builder figure. I will probably end up using this figure as a buck for the comic book Horde Prime head as well.

So I just ordered 2 General Sanders, and 2 Night-Stalkers since I have one of each are still coming from my sub which makes it 3 of each total... (And I totally forgot about the sale day it's today, and I remembered by checking my email!)...

Just noticed the huge gouging mark up on Night-Stalker from Matty!!!... From my sub, he's only $40, and on the sale day he's $54, $14 dollar difference, WTF!!!?... Seriously?

For army building in the future... Night-Stalker is basically a vehicle the evil guys use, and General Sundar to use and to display his other heads.
I hope the cape is removable though and not glued!

BTW, today I got both of my shipments. I haven't opened either yet, and I might end open one of each of those units (GS and NS) tomorrow evening after work to just check if things are in the right order as expected.

Edit:
I just got Night-Stalker out of his package, and he's big as he should. He's definitely a vehicle worthy of a unit and somehow reasonably priced if you got him through the Collector's Choice sub ($40 here in the US)... I like his sculpting details, and his color scheme is acceptable IMO, and I like him better with the his purple helmet on.

However, he has some issues like most of the MOTUC items:

- He has a wrapped left gun due to the idiotic packaging, and consequently a purple scuff on his head's left side. (Probably mine only?!).

- His joints are somehow loose and not as tight as I liked them to be. In certain poses he would tumble over if has no additional support, and adding a figure riding him would definitely make his posability a little harder.

- Good luck having a figure sitting in there! Standing is the only viable option other than squatting those figures in a funny position.

- The control dashboard is a sticker, not a sculpt!

For the warped guns, it might be good to take them off and put them in a cup of hot water. See if that fixes them.

I have the same issues with my Night Stalker. One of the jointed neck armor pieces was warped too. Crushed in the "idiotic packaging". Guns warped. Found it odd that there was no seat for figures, just a hollow body with not enough room for legs. The vintage Stridor and Night Stalker had a seat that a figure could sit on letting the legs tuck inside the seating area. I think a seat would set the figure at a proper riding height. But I guess a seat could have made more difficult to get the legs tucked in also.

So, I just got General Sundar out of his package. He's a decent looking figure with tight joints and a bunch of accessories, which adds to his desirability... That said, he has a few issues:

- His ankle joints are almost locked in (hindered by the leg armor), and making him standing up without toppling over due to his unremovable cape is a difficult task!!! Sigh... He has to bend over slightly in a funny stature in order to standup on his locked feet!

- His cape is none removable and glued to his armor. So making him a generic trooper is kinda impossible with his armor on.

- The extra heads he comes with (I think) were meant for your generic Horde Troopers for you to customize. The extra heads don't fit quite right on him due to the caped armor.

- The Horde Weapon Axe/Thingy is warped a little from the hideous inner packaging.

That was just my experience, probably yours will be different... I saw someone on the other forum mentioning how awesome this figure is on all counts!!!

Got some of the same issues with my General Sundar. Only head that fits easily is the General Sundar head. The other heads all hit the cape. I was able to pinch the bottom of the black-eyed trooper head enough to get it to slip on past the cape. If the cape was attached just a little further from the neck or made to be removable, attaching the other heads would not be an issue. No chance of attaching the sea-trooper head. It is too solid to pinch to get it past the cape. I like the DC comics purple face head on a blaster marked trooper body. Looks quite battle-damaged.

Thanks Toywolf for sharing your experience, it looks like I wasn't the only one here who found issues with heads attaching onto the figure, but then again the heads were originally designed for the generic Horde-Troopers.

The none-removable cape was certainly a bad design/engineering choice from the get go IMO.

Nightstalker is awesome.

I never had him when I was younger, but I did get Stridor. I passed on Nightstalker because he was never used in media, unlike Stridor. Stridor was in Golden books, mini-comics, even in Filmation once. But Nightstalker? He wasn't in anything.

I love how the legs and neck are now poseable! I can't wait for Stridor now.

I got my Nightstalker on Friday. It looks really awesome with Jitsu. I can't wait to get a Stridor now for Fisto!
