I was going to buy another Karg figure, but the option to buy single figures after buying a sub months ago appears to be gone.

So did anyone buy a sub this weekend? I see they are still selling them.

Licensing fees for Masters of the Universe have gone up this year, so that might be another reason why Super7 is doing this last push.

I thought about not meeting their minimum order as well, but if that's the case, why would they extend it for just a few days, or is it because people can clear paychecks by that time?... Or just to draw more attention?

As for not showing the new figs at this time, it could cut the backlash from customers in the future and not risking the current sale of the pre-orders!...

Really due to demand or are they close to not meeting their minimum? I wonder if that’s the real reason there were no new figs shown.

I just saw this email from S7:
    Super7 x MOTU Classics Pre-Order

    Extended Through The Weekend
Due to fan requests and demand we have extended the pre-order window for this release. It will now close at 12:00 Midnight PST this Monday - March 19th. Once this window closes we will not be able to accept any orders for this release.

Well, the plastic is very shiny and it feels a little brittle on mine especially the torso part, in my perception it feels a little lighter when I compare it to let's say Goat-Man, plus the ab-crunch is very loose on my figure and that could be also due to the brittle type of plastic they've used!

Yes the armor is also thinner and probably it shaved a few ounces and contributed to the cheap feel!... The head on mine is also loose, so if you shake the figure you can see half of the figure wiggles unlike the other ones!... And BTW, I don't see any shading on mine what so ever!... The design is nice and the figure looks good on the shelf, but in hand he's less impressive, at least with my own experience.

I hope we see a real improvement on QC with these figures. I can't see the line continuing if we see even half of these issues again.

I am excited to see Karg getting made, and I hope they will continue with making other movie figures based on their comic book appearances (Dark Troopers, Beast Man, etc..).

In the end I just couldn’t justify it, I opted not to get them. Of course with my luck these will turn out completely awesome, lol. If that happens you’re all welcome.

I hope your decision to trust Super 7 one more time is rewarded with good figures once they ship in the fall. I hope your figures will have as few issues as possible.

...... I’ve got to ask, as I’ve seen you mention this multiple times. What exactly is it about the plastic used on Lodar that makes it cheap? On mine, the weight/heft is the same as previous figures. The upper body is shiny, but I chalk that up to the lack of shading on the skin as I’ve seen many figures from multiple lines that are shiny when there’s absolutely no paint wash or spray to bring out any shading. The armour is softer (but I think that’s a good thing because the armour is so much thinner now), but the paint on the armour looks the same as previous figures. I’m curious what other defects are out there, since it sounds like my Lodar turned out better than yours. Plus it’s just more info on what to look for on future Super 7 releases before opening them up.

I'm with you on your final thought... When it comes to MOTU, money isn't the real issue for me here, I've already spent way more than I should! But what I really hate is getting crappy quality toys/collectables and call it a day!

I bought this sub a few months ago, so it isn't really about giving them a final chance, so much as its "they already have my money". But I won't be rushing out to buy the next sub if these figures don't turn out well. I hope we see some real change with this wave, or I'm done.

So I've finally decided to give S7 just one more and a final chance to get things right with this line, and placed an order of the Collector's Choice/MOTUC Classics wave two, and we'll see how it goes!... I have no interest in the Filmation Club Grayskull line, so I've passed on those.

I've had mixed feelings about the first wave of the Classics, I was satisfied with Quakke and Fang-Or despite the little QC issues on those two. Lodar was only okay for me because I've expected a little more with his paint application, and the quality of his plastic was cheap IMO, however Hawke was a total disappointment!... So let's see if S7 is full empty promises or not with the upcoming figures!

Not that I'm aware of!... Probably they'd announce it once the first wave starts shipping, like what Brian has mentioned in his latest interview that posted above.

Still haven't ordered, but probably will. Hope they figure things out with the plastic though. I've only heard terrible things about those Power-Con figures... but let's just call that the "Val Touch"!

I think that was a smart move from Super7.
I was uncomfortably going to pre-order the second wave of the Collector's Choice today, but I saw the podcast the other day and decided to wait a little until I get my first wave in hands, or at least until I see some good reviews in regards to the QC on those figures!

The Masters of the Universe Classics and Club Grayskull action figures subscription have been extended!

Hi Masters of the Universe Fans and Customers –

We wanted to let all of you know that we are extending the pre-order period for Wave 2 of Club Grayskull and Collector’s Choice series figures from Super7. We have heard from many of you that you are uncomfortable ordering the next wave of figures before you get the first wave in hand, and quite honestly we can’t argue with that logic. So, to that end, we will keep the Wave 2 pre-order open until we deliver Wave 1. We figure that is only fair.

We will continue to update you on the status of Wave 1 (hopefully you have seen our other emails and videos discussing the updates to the figures), and let you know when the Wave 2 pre-order will close. We are currently looking at Wave 1 to be completed around the last week of November or first week of December at the factory, and then shipping after that.

Thank you again for your patience and support as we continue to build our MOTU line. Our ultimate goal is to provide the best possible (and fun!) products that we can, and hopefully you will all agree with us when you get the latest group of figures in hand.

    By the Power of Grayskull!

Thank you again for all your support,
    Team Super7
Also, "Fans of Power" have a new podcast with Bryan Flynn.

I am still on the fence about getting a sub. The only figure the interests me is the updated Sorceress. The rest are kind of boring to me.

I actually enjoyed reading it, I just wish I had the extra space or money to collect like you guys do.

I'm mainly a LEGO enthusiast and I acquire a sizable collection, but still living in a tiny space in San Francisco which pretty much had prevented me from collecting any other toys and collectables!
The only major MOTU related things that I've got other than the Classics, are the Sideshow and the Tweeterhead statues/busts, and of course the NECA 200X Trap-Jaw statue that I use in my avatar.
I also have some random 200X figures and all the latest books by Dark-Horse and some art work... I would've loved to own the Methic Legions line and some of the Japanese stuff (Especially the Giant Robots from 70's and 80's), but hey, at this point I'd rather put my energy, money and time to something more useful and get my ass out of this rot I'm into.

Sorry for my rant by the way! ;-b
