hi guys, i'm new in this forum and probably i will be a new MOTUC collectorI'm thinking to start the MOTUC collection but i know that a lot of figures are now really expensive
And they will not be re-printed...
Referring to the 1st and 2nd picture in this topic, does it means that MATTEL will start a new MOTU collection, probably better than MOTUC? If so, i can evaluate to wait the new collection...
thank you!

Welcome to the forums!
It does appear that Mattel is judging interest in a new 12 inch line. No idea how that’s going to play out based on the prototypes shown..... is it going to be a women of POP and MOTU line with a male (like He-man and maybe eventually Bow) thrown in once in a while? Or could it be a full blown all encompassing 12 inch line? Hard to tell with only the one male character shown so far, but you’d be able to get in on the ground floor and hopefully avoid resellers if you’re interested in this potential line.
So keep checking in here and hopefully we’ll all find out if there’s going to be a new collection to start.

Yes. The one head sculpt is not the traditional. But it fits what they are trying to do with it. Same came be said with MYP He-Man

No. Mattel is doing their own thing.
Bringing something that the others are NOT doing.

I’ll need to see how the other headsculpt looks painted and finished, as well as what the next male prototype looks like before I can consider another MOTU line.
But if they make Trap Jaw and Beast Man I’ll buy those two no matter what.

I'm digging the Giants. If Mattel made other characters like Mer-Man, Stinkor, Moss-Man, ext, I would be very pleased.
Of note: when I have friends over who are not into collecting MOTU, and they see my toy collection, they tend to be drawn to the Giant figures the most. I think there is an untapped market for those just waiting to happen."We must always value life. Even the life of one who opposes us." ― He-Man

So someone posted this at the other site that I think very interesting:
Following Kelly and Rene (Council Of The First Ones) on social medias was very interesting;
to sum it up:
1/ Ultimates Figures might have been reconsidered lately
2/ Had Club Eternia lasted another year the extra items planned were:
Slime Pit playset w/ Slime Pit He-Man (End Year Item)
Songster (Sub Exclusive)
3/ Snake Mountain:
a) going to be a crowfunding
b) a non-refundable deposit is to be expected
c) 4 to 6 installments are to be expected
d) the ideal price sounds to be 500$ for it
4/ Rene's personal assumption regarding new Thundercats figures is that Mattel may sollicit S7 to distribute them
5/ Scott Neitlich wrote a bio for Starburst She-Ra which apparently induces that she should have come out right before her NA version.
During the panel, it was noted that Mattel has taken notice to how quickly the MOTU figures sell out of the current waves. They said that almost every figure from He-Man and She-Ra has a prototype already done. They also mentioned that Castle Grayskull is going to happen, and it's everything that the fans want to see. They have a Comic-Con exclusive plan for next year, and he hinted that it's some sort of case.
Anyhow, at least it's happening.
