I'm almost certainly onboard for a Masterverse Buzz-off. Huge fan of the Vintage/Origins design - so really looking forward to seeing what they do with a Masterverse version.

I recently got the Masterverse Man-e-faces & Shadow Weaver. Both are excellent.

Man-e-faces is not only a superb figure, but IMHO is the best version of Man-e-faces out there, hands-down. Admittedly, I never had the Classics version - but to me this seems like the definitive version of the character. Really impressed by the sculpt itself; the red/orange laser gun, and the three extra faces in the suitcase. In fact, I will go so far as to say that this figure is a work of art - it's that good.

The Shadow Weaver is another extremely nice figure. I like the creepy "look" and the cloth sleeves. Very nice. I don't have any previous version(s) of the character, and don't really feel like I need any at this point - given that this figure is so good.

I collect both Origins & Masterverse, but typically focus more on Masterverse because the figures are somewhat easier to find/track down (whether online or at retail stores). And, IMHO Masterverse rises above Origins in some cases, due to the incredible sculpts. Sure, the Origins figure are definitely more nostalgic/iconic because they're replicating the original figures. But, I still prefer the Masterverse line - by a slight margin.

Ya know it's interesting that they went with a plastic loincloth that separates from the fur torso. But it works well with the waist twist and still looks good. I'm not sure if he looks filmation but everytime they deviate from the vintage toy it looks like Kalibak to me. Other than the knees I like the figure though.

That Faker though. Yeah me wants!

I guess the name VyKron was re-trademarked so there's rumor that he might show up in MV or Origins. The source is on YouTube if you feel like searching it and giving them the views. Also reviews of MV Whiplash are out.

                      Ok. I'll say it.

The thing about Vykron is IF he's made and done let's say single carded in Origins, do you do a single card of each outfit? If so do you make them different people? Keep all 3 Vykron? and repeat those same questions but replace "Origins" with "Masterverse".

I think they could do Vykron, Tanktop, and Space Ace separately if they want to take up the skus for them but that will delay releases of anyone we haven't gotten yet like Evil Seed, Sy-Klone, or Fangman. I think Vykron will be introduced as part of the POG theme but I'm not sure if he'll just have one release with different outfits to save slots for those other skus or not. Would you rather have Sy-Klone or Tanktop? I guess it's a matter of what Mattel thinks they can sell.

Like earlier this week(time's a blur), since it's still and barely Sunday when I type this, I saw Shadow Weaver at a couple different Targets.

And at one of them I saw a Revalation Man-At-Arms.

                      Didn't get either.

There are a bunch of figures that are already "huge" in this line like Two Bad, Clawful, Whiplash and so on...

The "tank" head looks like an early concept for Voltron or prehistoric animal for Transformers.

The "trank" head was given a new look and practicality. Not a fan.

The bug eye helmet for the flyer makes sense but I prefer the Boba Fett helmet. Guess they don't want to get sued or receive cease and desist letter.

Definitely prefer the barbarian look with this version.

The tank head looks like the daddy to Tri-klops's doomseeker..

My initial knee jerk reaction is that it's awfully bulky and I dread what a MV Stonedar or Rokkon are going to look like.

But after pausing and letting it marinate, I do like the ingenuity and box art, even though I am more of a fan of the Classics version.

Easy pass for me but good for those that want him.

I personally like all the new redesigns more than the Classics version, especially this new Eagle-Tank military armor... The box art looks also amazing!.

I might pick him up even though I still don't collect this line; except for Man-E and Trap Jaw thus far.

However, I'd love to see all the New Eternia figures get an Origins translation at some point in time.

Sorry if I’m posting in the wrong thread, as I haven’t been following the Masterverse releases due to:
                                  1) I simply prefer the Origins line
                                  2) more importantly, I can’t afford collecting another line

….regardless of that, I just saw the Mattel Creations email regarding Vykor and I have got to say, I’m blown away. Mattel really seems to be stepping up their game and making the Masterverse figures look better and better with each reveal.
I was impressed when I saw Two-Bad on the self at my local Walmart, but IMO the Vykor figures continue to take it up a notch. I really like the new heads on the military themed figure (it may be goofy looking, but a great goofy I’d say), and especially the space themed figure. I’m sure there’s some that prefer the original head, but going to actual brick and mortar stores with a blatant Mandalorian head might not be the wisest choice, legally speaking. So I think this new look is an excellent choice.
Makes me wish I could afford to collect the Masterverse line now.
                                  Well done Mattel!

Jeez Croc, you got the MC email, and you haven't checked this thread until now, all the info was posted days ago!

But yeah, I agree with all what you've just said!... I think I'll be getting one since I think most of those armors and heads would fit on a standard Origins He-Man buck!
I still however prefer seeing an official Origins version one day with a proper art packaging.

I saw A Masterverse Two-Badd and A Masterverse Sorceress the other day..

Got Two-Badd months ago and passing on Sorceress. Believe I passed on the Origins Sorceress as well.

Saw and picked up a Man-E-Faces today.

I can't get over how tall looking he is.

Yes. I know. Masterverse figures are a bigger buck than origins. DUH!

I'm not comparing or trying to compare the two.

It's just that for the Masterverse line he seems taller than most. SEEMS! I said seems.

I haven't measured him yet since he's still in his box here, but yes, he looks tall.

                                  Almost time. Getting close.

I just ordered one. I don't need to see all three at the same time.

If the looks were different there could be a chance I got more than one.

I will admit that the Man-At-Arms looking chest armor is kind of neat.

That's an interesting thousand dollar question. If I had to take a wild guess I'd say no.

Theoretically you actually could buy extra "generic MV He-Mans" on discount and you could utilize those Vykron armors on them for you to display all three.

                                    That's a good idea.

                                  Got mine. No problems.

With the updated looks I have to come up with head canon to accept them.

So I have named them Tankor and Skyblast. Sort of different personalities. Different heroes.

And that's all I got so far.
