Loo-Kee and Kowl 2 pack: Who's going to buy these?

Anyone else think that $20 for 2 happy meal toys is a little ridiculous? After taxes and shipping, a repaint and little clown with 3 points of articulation will be around $30 or more. The package is light, but I don't think that matters. I want these, but I feel like I'm getting screwed with them. Discuss.

Man, they are going to piss people off like they did with SOH, but at least SOH was an actual $25 figure....these two things alone as light as they are will not justify the $11 to have the damn things shipped. $20....man, I want that Kowl, but screw $20 plus $11 for something that's not even close to a pound.

DR's flat rate shipping is total bull****, and a serious rip off.... How are you going to charge $11 for something that weighs just a few ounces more than a damn Hot Wheel? That I can personally ship for $3.... I get it's a bigger box, but the weight is more what would be looked at....$7 at max to ship Kowl and Lookie....no more.

$20 is a lot for these two little figures. I feel like they need to slip in at least one smaller accesory, like a Filmation amulet that can be used with one of the regular figures.

I'm looking forward to picking these up. At least they'll initially be available in April's early access so those of us who want these will have some idea of when to be able to purchase them. The concept of chase figures is ridiculous. Like people have nothing better to do than to be on MattyCollector or Facebook all day, keeping watch with no idea of when these things will be put up for sale.

It is a lot for 2 little figures, one of which is a repaint. That's why I think we should be getting Imp too, and it should be the price of 1 regular figure.

I'm a little flustered with them being a chase figure but I have every intention of trying to get them. I need a FILMation Kowl for my Great Rebellion shelf and while Loo-Kee to me is just a Keebler reject he was a part of the vintage series and I'll do with him what I did with him in my vintage collection and that is hide him so people have to look for him.

I have to say its a dickish move on mattels part putting these in early access in april when the people most likely to buy them are those who subscribed to club etheria which doesn't start until july!

Chase figures are just a bad idea. Of course, Lookee was a figure bound to draw LIEguru's evil intentions... it was SO tempting to make Lookee a "concealed" figure. Nevertheless, this also means that not every fan will be able to buy him... and that those who want to buy him may have to spend more money than they should have spent.

I wish one of Pixel Dan's buddies would find out if he's having a lovers quarrel with Neitlich or something, and post the info... I'm more concerned with the drama if any than the actual reviews. Not because I like drama... but because it will no doubt continue to prove that Lie-Or is the evil master of prickness.

From what Pixel Dan and TG said in the recent interview vid he posted, it sounds like the shipment of figures never reached Dan, TG seemed offended PD hadn't posted any of the new figs sent.

They may have genuinely been lost in the mail, but having watched the video, I suspect that TG was lying to Dan. I now own Glimmer, and she isn't a bad looking figure (could have been better). That said, if TG was worried that Dan might give her a bad review, I could see him holding off on sending her. The man lies all the time, and it wouldn't be the first time he held something back from the fans to ensure sales.

I don't care about any drama, it's just one of those things that make a person go "hmm". Mind you, the current brand manager seems to be a very toxic person who has done a lot of damage to people's relationships and careers over this line, and even though I don't care for his reviews, I hope he hasn't done anything actually harmful to Dan.

But that is also, ultimately, not my business.

And he's actually released TONS of videos AFTER his son was born (very recently too), so the "Pixel Dan is now a dad" argument doesn't stand a chance... The weird thing is that MOTUC previews are the only ones that he didn't post yet.

Hard to do worse than Teela. There is no reason, none, that she should not have gotten another release based on the demand and insane prices she is demanding. But that's another argument for another thread.
