Mega Construx Battle Ram

This set with Tri-Klops and Mechaceck popped up on Amazon.ca for a bit for $25 CAD, even though it said it was out of stock. I decided to order one anyway just for the hell of it, figuring they’ll just cancel my order anyway...
Just got a notice that it’s out for delivery, so I’ll have it delivered some time this afternoon.
Looking forward to putting this thing together, as I’ve had some really, really shitty luck finding any MOTU Mega Construx at cost the entire run of this line from the get-go.
Hopefully this is a sign of things changing.

Just finished building it while watching the City vs. United game...

I am a big fan of this item, very glad I made the purchase. They made the Sky Sled easily removable (was there any doubt?) and as a nice touch, they included a swappable snake head for the Sky Sled.
They also included 3 red ‘missiles’, and another nice touch is they included storage for the 2 missiles not in the launcher. They can be stored on the back where the figure would stand on the back of the Battle Ram.

Tri-Klops looks great, including storage on his back for his sword. His visor rotates easily with pretty good paint apps on such a small figure.

Mechaneck also turned out well, he comes with 2 neck extensions to recreate his action feature.

The only bad thing about this item is it annoys me even more that these Mega Construx MOTU have been so rare in these parts.

I forgot to ask, were the decorations stickers or prints?

I got a couple of Battle-Rams from Amazon, and I've managed to build one the other day. For an experienced builder like me I still think It's a cool little build with some interesting choices for part and adequate building techniques, however the handlebars on the Sky Sled portion of the set is weak and flimsy and could've been definitely better.
The mini-figures are great and one of the strongest elements in the set design wise. Also the Mega Construx team has managed to nail the colors spot on, and they've also managed to capture the main shape of the vehicle and the play features without too many compromises!

I think it's a great MOTU set for what it is, especially if it goes on discount for fans to army build. I'm really looking for more of these type of sets in the foreseeable future, since there is so much potential and material to cover from the vintage era, and beyond.

I got the Mega Construx Battle Ram w/Tri-klops & Mekanek over the summer. Great little vehicle, and like a lot of the other MC MOTU sets - it's a nice mini-replica of the original toy. I really appreciate that this can "shoot" the missles like the original Battle Ram. I don't have the original toy anymore, so it was especially great to get this.

That all being said, hopefully they will release an Origins Battle Ram at some point in the near future.
