    • From Fang-Or's card art, He-Ro, Lady Slither and her Snake Lair fortress were teased, and let's hope one day (another than Lady Slither) they become physical products:

The Horde got the Fright Zone and some would say the Slime Pit so I always wondered why the Snake Men never got their own playset. I mean yeah Snake Mountain but that's always been more affiliated with Skeletor. Either way this is a nice representation for the Snake Men and I'd take all three as palysets

Yes, and I like it to be honest with you; it reminds of the older style of my favorite Super Heroes in the comics and such.

Great review of the Origins MM. I agree, the flocking looks great. That being said, given the possibility that this could "shed" - I'm not sure I'll keep the figure stored out of the package. But, I may take it out after I first get this. I still haven't seen the figure yet, but I hope it'll be more available this Fall. I remember the Flocked Panthor (another Wal-mart exclusive) was initially difficult to find. Then, it became more plentiful later.

          Thanks for posting Man-E...
I just got one sealed from eBay yesterday with a reasonable price, probably even cheaper than what I had to spend on public transportation here where I live just to hunt him down since I don't have Walmarts near by.

I'm gonna open him up soon, but I still need two more for my own collection when he becomes available on Walmart's site with his original MSRP price or less, even though two of him equals the price of a Snake Mountain! What the flock!

I just wanted to add that this set might not be a BBTS/EE exclusive after all, it also could be available via the brick mortar shops, but not necessarily the big box stores.

      • The same YT channel Coffee&Toys also reviews the BBTS/EE exclusive Origins Skeleton Warriors 2 pack set:

Does this mean the Lady Slither's Fortress (or the Snake Lair?!) in a toy form is actually on the horizon, or nothing burger?!

            • Glad to see more army builders. I grabbed 6 sets of the Skeleton Warriors.

Me too, I initially got 8, but I thought 6 sets (12 figures) is more than enough for any diorama I’d make for myself!

I grabbed 3 sets to start with. I'll probably pair them up with Scare Glow in my display.

              • Recently picked up the Origins Moss Man. Fantastic figure. The flocked sculpt is incredible, and IMHO this is well worth the $40 price tag. I'm also impressed by the accessories - i.e. the second head, body armor, etc. Haven't opened this yet to check out the "pine needle" smell. And, even if I do open this I will definitely still keep this stored in the package due to concerns about the flocking coming off, etc.

Note that this new version is significantly better than the original Vintage version - both in terms of the flocked sculpt & the articulation, etc.

Lady Slither is a cool looking action figure. The only thing I don't like is the weapons, as they look a bit bland with the color they chose. The small sword would have looked better in silver. That said, it is great to have a female character as part of the Snake Men.

                • -Recently got the Skeletor w/Screech set. Excellent toy(s), and very nostalgic. I remember having the original Screech back in the day. I preferred this to the Zoar because of the purple/dark blue colors, reddish eyes, & sinister appearance. The gothic-like artwork on this new set is great, and somewhat reminds me of the production paintings for a fantasy horror film. Very fitting, and it intentionally reminds me of the Vintage artwork. My only complaint is that the Screech wasn't available as a stand-alone toy; i.e., having to buy a Skeletor I don't need with this set just made it more expensive. I know that back in the day, the Vintage Screech was initially sold as a stand-alone toy (though IIRC it did come in a set with Skeletor later).

-Really want to get the Lady Slither figure - nice toy, and I like how she can transform from a Snake-creature to a more traditional "human-like" appearance. LS strongly reminds me of evil female monster/demon characters from the original Conan comic books back in the '70's/'80's - grotesque & at the same time compelling. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I'll be able to get this, unless I want to pay through the nose - it's sold out in most places online, and when I was able to find this the cost was prohibitive. Since I don't like paying after-market prices for toys like this, it's an easy pass here. I don't think this is a toy they will ever re-release, either.

That being said, it would have been nice if LS was a brick & mortar store exclusive so you could at least have a decent chance to get this (i.e., like the Moss Man & Flocked Panthor Wally World exclusives). But, given the obscurity of the character & the disturbing appearance - I doubt anything like this would have been sold in mainstream stores.

I don't see them releasing Lady Slither again, unless she is packaged without the snake torso. I hope they don't make her fortress, as frankly I'm running out of space for playsets. I'd rather have a Fright Zone.

I have been reading online that some (not all) collectors who have received the Lady Slither set are reporting pieces missing. Terrible. Hopefully this is not that wide-spread. However, now that I'm hearing this I don't really regret not being able to order this. I.e., if this is happening with some sets it could happen with others. Very unfortunate.

I believe the LS Snake Fortress will get made sooner or later if the line does't get cancelled unexpectedly... You always have the choice to buy it or not according to your own circumstances/personal preferences BZ.

Space is an issue for us all, and we have to make decisions that we don't like if keep on collecting. I had to cancel all my upcoming MOTU Statue units from Sideshow/Tweeterhead for example and I might even sell some of what I have already. And I'm in the process selling a large amount of my old LEGO collection as well.
