We want to thank Mega Jay Retro, Phil Corbally & James Hanlon for sending incredible Masters of the Universe Origins Wave 13 in hand images!
So, Strobo and Lord Gr'Asp are hinted and more likely they're coming this year... Also Strobo means Sy-Klone is on his way too since both share the same torso.
Attention:
BTW people, Duplico, SA Skeletor, Tung Lashor and mini-comic Roboto are available to pre-order/order on Mattel Creations right now, in addition to some figure from wave 11 (Ratrlor, Kobra Khan, SA He-Man and Bolt-Man): Update: A bunch are already sold out!!!... That was quick!
BTW, I just got a partial shipment notice from MC (label created) for both Tung Lashor and the minicomic Roboto!... Duplico is still pending/unfulfilled though!
So I'm guessing those figures that were offered on Feb14th without the pre-order tag, were already ready to ship out!
Two days ago, I finally got my Frog Monger shipment! I haven't open one yet, but he certainly looks awesome in his package!
Wave 13 & 14 leaks just confirmed that twinkletwat doesn't know everything he thinks he knows. I blocked his YT but I'm sure he's getting pounced on about his doom and gloom prediction..
So basically, the mini-comic Man-E-Faces joins "young" King Randor, Snake Teela, Slamurai and the Snake Trooper in the regular single carded release wave, and then, you have Snake Face and Dragon Blaster Skeletor come as deluxe figures.
According to Toy Habits and other sources, Origins wave 14 is now confirmed as follows:
Wave 14 Assortment
The following characters are to be part of the Wave 14 assortment set to be released October 2023!
Eternia Guard Infiltrator
Sssqueeze
Serpent Man-At-Arms
Spikor
Keep in mind that there is always the possibility for some changes due to manufacturing or shipping issues... But this confirmation basically nullifies the line's demise by April.
My main nitpick is the Snake Teela doesn't have a new snake sculpted head, nor comes with the a recolored Snake Armor!
200X King Randor looks like a proper warrior now!... Also I'm always glad to have army builder figures, and the Snake Trooper is an awesome addition to the line... Slamurai, isn't my favorite figure since I'm not a big fan of having a plain white plastic in MOTU (I hope he doesn't discolor easily overtime), but he's a cool repaint and cheap to make!
Nice images. These all look great, and this will probably end up being one of my top three waves in this Origins line. Definitely onboard for all of these.
My one nit-pick is that I would have preferred that the "Snake Teela" was sculpted to look more snake-like & grotesque, i.e. the 200X Snake Teela - especially re: the facial features. I.e., though this forthcoming Origins figure looks nice - I wish it looked more like this:
Action figure reviews, toy reviews, stuff about Halloween, and Batgirl fandom all mixed together.
King Randor 200X is excellent; IIRC, they never made a King Randor in that previous line, so this figure is a first - nice.
Slamurai is a great figure, with a clever name. Great design & sculpt. Was never even aware this had been made as a figure previously (in the Classics line) until very recently.
Snake Trooper is excellent; like the black armor & Snake-head.

I think it's the interchangeability improvement plus the exploding red rock packaging nostalgia. And I guess hopes of figures that never had figures before. Maybe it's not so special and it's just favorite characters being a thrill to some or even expensive figures being obtainable.
For me Origins is cool when you can find them in the wild. I haven't seen much variance at stores when I've been at stores but the waves definitely do get distribution in weird spurts. Anyways I think ordering online is becoming the norm nowadays so I don't hunt like I used to.
I'd actually like to see MotU Classics make a comeback somehow but a little different with better interchangeability.
(Like Origins but think something along the lines on Classic Modulok but also with removable interchangeable loincloths) Then if they're smart they'd package it like Ultimate Classics.
To be honest, I haven't explored the NA cartoon fully yet, but the concepts of the toys were very intriguing and looked great IMHO. The actual toy line was like what've said; very inferior to the vintage MOTU, but the character designs looked very interesting even in the cartoons. Here are some of the earlier concepts just to get an idea what I'm
talking about:
Yes, this is great artwork & interesting concepts; very twisted & bizarre in some ways as well, especially the monstrous alien holding his own head(s)?!; and, the robotic?! woman with the dangerous head-tail looks slick as well. Don't know who did the art here, but it's great - and looks like some cartoons/comic-book art I've seen from that era - nice.
However, the execution & final product (i.e., the toys) for NA were definitely sorely lacking/sub-par. I.e., this great artwork remind me of production paintings for films in which the concepts/artwork are far superior to the final, finished movie.
Still haven't seen the NA cartoon. I may check it at least one episode at some point, but only after I've finished watching the 200X cartoon.
