MOTUO Snake Mountain reveal.

Today Mattel has dropped a bunch of MOTU reveals that are part of their MOTUesday campaign, and Origins Snake Mountain was announced but still under the WIP banner before its expected release sometimes in Fall 2023 (or earlier?), and here is Pixel-Dan talking about it in this video since he was selected by Mattel to be part of the "influencers day" promo:

Interesting that you're more interested in the new figures than the playset... I think the Snake was designed that way to act as a handle to the carry the set with when it's folded, of course it looks stupid and they should redesign it.

I think the worst thing about the set other than the Snake, is the color scheme itself. I hope they'd recolor it to look more like the Classics version, and add another Lava accessory pieces to cover the seam in the center when the set is unfolded.

The other updates are great, the added playing features and the extra accessories and whatnot are really looking good and fun to play with and to look at!

But the figures, now that's something different. Yes, I have no ties to them but the design makes up for that.

This new Origins Snake Mountain looks amazing - really looking forward to this. I liked the Vintage version, but this one has some subtle improvements that I really appreciate. I suspect the price point will be higher than Castle Grayskull?!

The higher price point is inevitable, but I don't think it will be too crazy... The latest 3D Netflix show Castle Grayskull is large with electronics and playing features and is currently selling for $100 MSRP.

I expect Snake Mountain to be in the same price range, and maybe a little more with how crazy the world is going now.!

Not bad.... I just hope they go with a darker purple. This almost looks pink to me.

This is a great start to the playset, not loving the current colour but definitely everything else.
the cage is an awesome update and I like the idea of figures seemingly half submerged in the acid.

….. and lol Mech, yeah according to that dipshit with the spectacularly creative YouTube channel, this mock-up of Snake Mountain is just a pipe dream that will never come to fruition since Mattel loses the MOTU license in just a couple of months
Mattel is really cruel to even show us this Snake Mountain when they know it’s all over for them as of January 1st….

I'm not a big fan of the new green "snake" on the mountain. The original snake looked better in my humble opinion.

This pic is still from the initial fugly pro-type, not the one from the Nuremberg Toy Fair...

The new one has a smaller snake, better colors similar to the old one, and the bridge has a green slime railing...
