Damn, I hope the dude doesn't end up seeing those macho man figures on a black Friday sale next year. I'm the last one to defend Mattel but I thought that they had gotten better. I seem to remember that there were people that had subscriptions but still didn't get Fisto and then people were still able to buy an amount of limited Fisto directly from Matty.“You could reach any goal you want, it just might mean taking the circular path.” ~Daniel Larusso

I hope they got a lot better after that incident... But in my experience, emailing them (MC) is almost pointless but it's alway good to do it anyways to document it as an evidence just in case you need it later on.
If you need to resolve any issues, it's always better to call them when you have the chance and try to fix those issues in real time by having a separate device/computer other than your smartphone!
The way I see it, crowdfunding or pre-ordering by paying upfront has a good/big risk factor, just like going to a dentist or a doctor operating on you, either you do it or you don't and live with the consequences afterwards.
I hope Eterina doesn't turn into a big mess a year and half from now!

It’s nice to see that Mattel employee help out that one particular customer who got screwed out of 2 Macho Man figures. Mattel Creations Customer Service solution was downright disgusting. $15 USD each refund for a WWE Elite figure that retails for $22 or $23 USD each is shameful. Possibly the biggest toy company in the world tried to steal at least $14 from one of their customers. How hard up for cash is Mattel that they’d try to pull off a stunt like that?
I couldn’t care less how many people call RetroBlasting a crotchety old fool, he’s right to call out Mattel for this bull shit. I get that errors in production numbers can happen, but at least refund the people who didn’t get what they paid for the FULL amount they’re entitled to.
This makes me glad I didn’t end up pulling the trigger on the Eternia playset. Mattel doesn’t deserve the trust with that much money handed over.
Hopefully for all those who did go in on Eternia, Mattel gets their shit together when it comes time to deliver on the playset and stretch goal figures.

Happy New Year Croc... And I fully agree with your sentiment here.
Also, I tend to agree with Michael (RetroBlasting)'s opinions more than I disagree with them, at least on how toy companies conduct their shady business. Yes they still offer us toys to enjoy (or stress about), but their main purpose (and probably the only one these days) is profit, especially when it comes to the adult focused market.
People like RB tend to expose those blatant discrepancies unlike some of the shills who chose to glorify toy companies to get incentives and views.
I hope Mattel Creations will rectify their trust with the current and the upcoming crowdfunding projects, especially with their bigger and risky ones like Eterina.
No matter how you think if any pre-order type of projects from any company (big or small), risks are involved and it's always a gamble.
And when dissatisfied customers/fan untie on some of those issues, there is a bigger chance for an improvement or at least getting their money back.
