Well, this might sound a little unnerving to some, while others might be excited to see it happening!... So, according to a retailer/fan who orders MOTU products from Mattel directly for his shop, he shared some new revelations over at the other forum about how MOTU Origins could be like in 2024 while he was answering members' questions:

The retailer replies back:
.. And then he continuers:

And the speculations and discussions continues as usual...

So, aside from the new TMNT, Filmation and Mashups at retail to bring new collectors to the Origins line (or its regraded line), what will really happen to the current vintage based line, would Mattel continue the vintage characters, vehicles, beasts and playsets, and would Powers of Grayskull see the light of day in 2024 as speculated and hinted?!!!... And if so, would these continue via Mattel Creations only, or the other online retailers like BBTS and EE would be able still to offer them on their platforms?!
Now I'm really worried!
I can confirm call orders went out for FIVE new MOTU waves. 2 of them are MOTU Origins, 1 is Masterverse and 2 are a new MOTU line. The MOTU Origins waves are going to consist of one reissue (Mer-Man and She-ra respectively) and the other two figures in the waves with be Filmation figures.
Unfortunately, there is no real documentation when it comes to call orders. Call orders are basically pre-pre-orders for select retailers. Images don't usually come until the pre-orders go live. The details I have are MOTU Origins Wave 15, the new Masterverse wave and the first wave of the new line are all shipping in Q1 2024 with the wave 16 and the second wave of the new line shipping in Q2 2024.
As for the new line, I do know what it is and the breakout of wave 1, but I am not sure I want to spoil it. What I will say is it is a mash-up line with another 80's cartoon property and is based on a comic book mini-series that never ended up materializing.

Gotta be MotU/TMNT. That's the only one I know of that art was produced for but never happened (since MotU Thundercats DID materialize)
Hmm... could it be? (wink)
I have a sneaking suspicion that the remaining figures in the OG line may be released on Mattel Creations since most of them are heavy lifts tooling wise (Rio Blast, Dragstor, etc.). As for the Filmation characters, they are Filmation variants of the main characters, at least at first. One character in each wave will be double-packed since they will still come in cases of four, and that figure is one of the Filmation ones.
One thing I really want to mention to everyone- I have been told that there is a good chance Entertainment Earth (and all other retailers) will be cancelling existing preorders for Rattlor, Kobra Khan, Bolt Man and Snake Armor He-man as Mattel has informed them that production on those figures is now complete. That said, for those sites that still have the preorders up, if they can get enough additional preorders over the next day or so in order to hit the MOQ Mattel is willing to do another run. Basically what i am saying is, if you want those figures now is your last chance to get them before they are gone forever (this goes for both retail and wholesale sides of the house).

Q + A:
Q: Two questions if you don't mind.
1)Is Origins getting a new sub-branding with this year's "Rise of the Snakemen" or is it dropping sub-branding completely?
2)Do you know anything about FY2024 deluxe figures?
A:
I would guess that it will get a rebrand, yes. It would just make sense to me and would likely get announced at SDCC like last year. As for the deluxe figures, I haven't heard anything. That is pretty typical though- usually the standard figure assortments get released for order about a month before the deluxe figures.

I think the MOTU x TMNT mash-up sounds interesting! Here is a DC comic art gallery reference if you are curious!
