This guy looks pretty cool, but first, I'd only want the standard colorway. Second, $50 is a lot though for a US vinyl toy.

If this was a smaller release or if it was made in Japan at the HQ factories, like the art vinyl companies Funko is aping this from, then I could see the price tag fitting.
But this doesn't look "hand-made" or even hand-painted. It looks airbrushed and wipe washed. Which is kind of what everyone who puts these type of toys out does anyway.

Part of the reason people got into sofubi in the first place was that the larger size vintage pieces became too rare and too pricey. For something 6" tall, $50 is a bit of a tough pill to swallow, especially when I could get something the same size, far more limited, and completely hand-made. I wish they would stop with the huge "limited edition" size on these variants. There's probably only 2k people who would buy this overall. All that being said, it is a nice variant, and I am definitely picking up the standard release on this.
