McG to direct MOTU

With the announcement of McG possibley directing MOTU, you can imagine my delight when I saw this on his Twitter feed. Forgetting the poster for a sec, what is interesting is him posting this and the date that is on that poster which is 2017. Not sure how feasible 2017 is. Unless there's been lots of work done on it already and we don't know?

Thanks for sharing Eamon, and it's nice to see that he actually used your art... However I'm not sure if McG is the right director for this property, at least if they can make this movie happen by next year, it will be a real treat for the fans, even though I have my doubts at the moment!

I'm not sure McG is the right director for any property. At least, not any we would like to see actually succeed.
