Picture issues

It must be my IPAD that I use. But the pics I always try to upload are too big. Is there any way around this? My avatar is a much bigger picture but I cropped it down....waaaaaay down. Any help would be tremendous.

The largest picture you can save for the Avatar is 200 X 200 pixels. It won't appear any larger than the white border of the square, as this was how vBulletin 5 was designed. This was done so that pages would load faster when the VB5 software was created.
