Bit of an odd one, but when i post i always get the run save cancel box, if that makes sense, i'm assuming its a windows 8/ opera browser issue, just remembered it does the same with IE

Are you on the forums on a work computer? It could be your company's browser settings. I find the security features at my work don't let me post on the forums which is annoying, but it is like that with all vBulletin websites at my workplace.

No its my own laptop, I can still post but its like its attempting to save the post as a document. Its weird but there does seem to be some quirks with windows 8, like instead of being able to open a pdf from the browser i have to save it first then open it from the desktop, i have a feeling it could have something ti do with the metro interface.

I installed Google Chrome on my work computer today (that uses ancient Windows 7), and the forums work fine now. You might want to try that and see if it works for you.

Every time I sign in. It doesn't look like I signed in. but if I click on a tab I'm miraculously signed in.

Nor does the system remember me.

Am I doing something wrong? or is it some kind of bug or glitch?

It really depends on the computer you are using. If it is an older computer, or you are using older software on your computer, it may do this from time to time. Once you click on a forum subject, it will usually show that you are signed in.

Finally sorted it, turns out it was my browser, upgraded to the new opera browser which uses webkit rather than presto and now the issue has gone.
